Great product and support! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Well this SL-1+ is one great little product. Set the jumpers hooked it up to my 817 and was off and running. Be sure and set the jumpers right for the rig you are running, some of the info on the net is not right or for the previous model. The mini cd that they send along has all the infomation you will need to get it working. All I can say is thank you Tigertronics!

Good, simple interface. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The SL-1+ best feature is the adjustable vox keying circuit. No serial port required. Freed-up my serial port for rig control of my TS-2000.

Would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Received my SL-1+ a couple of days ago and at first I was very skeptical. But after a couple of hours playing with it, I'm very impressed to say the least. This tiny little thing hears signals I can't hear or see on the meter of my IC 706MKIIG. I hooked it up via the "data" plug and with in an hour was workig a station in Texas, even with the bands in terrible shape lately. I wanted to see how it could handle CW, as most of these units can't compare to the human ear. But again, this little box could decipher code that I couldn't even hear. After making up my own RJ45 from a mini 6 pin din, pluged it in, down loaded HamScope, typed in my call sign and I was off and running. For the price and it's abilities, I would recommend this unit over it's compeditors hands down. And the size is what really got me. I got the cable "Sassy" kit with mine, came as an intoductory, well worth the money. And there is ton's of free software out there that will work with this unit.

Fully satisfied Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I got the FT817 and bought the SL1 in DL for linking a HP4150b laptop for digital modes, using MixW software. The interface serves my purposes perfectly, is small, sturdy, simple and avoids the need for additional ptt wiring. Also power supply by PSU in stationary use or a 9VDC block battery for /p-service makes no difference. From my experience I can say I would buy it again without a second thought. 73 Fred

Great Customer Support Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I recently reveiwed the SL-1, and thought I should come back and share a recent experience. I recently purchased a new Icom 756PRO at Dayton Hamvention, and decided I wanted to connect my SL-1 to this radio. I called Jason at C&J who is the distributor, and even though they did not stock a cable yet for the Icom's accessory port, they offered to make one for me. I sent them the specs on the accessory port, discussed how I was going to connect it up in my shack, and they made the cable for me. I received it yesterday, and it works great. I am a "Cosmetic Ham", so how things look as well as product performance is important with me. Thanks Jason !

Received my SignaLink today, and was on the air in a few hours. I use mine with a Kenwood TS870 throught the ACC2 Port. Configuration was very easy with the supplied jumpers, and I purchased the cable accessory kit that was cheeper then going to Radio Shack to by all the audio cables. The unit is the size of a pack of cigarettes, and first class construction.

I can't help but say I am a former owner of the BuxComm "Soap Dish" Interface that is poorly constructed, and when you ask for help, they chew you out on the phone and make you feel like you did something wrong.

The only thing that caught me off guard was my sound card. The speaker output is software controlled in the advance settings to tell the card to produce either a Digital or Analog output. You must change this to Analog for everything to work correctly. If you are like me and have email using a wav file when someone sends you mail, be sure and turn off the SignaLink unit because it keys your radio via the audio output circuit vs the com port like most other interface units use. I like this feature because I already have my com port in use communicating with my transceiver.

I called Jason to ask a question, and even though he was in sales he went out of his way to help me.

works great! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought this interface to use with my IC706MkIIG for PSK31 and Q15X25. I too have a laptop and didn't want to give up my serial port. I was skeptical about the unit as my past dealings with Tigertronics stuff was in the mid 90s with a packet modem and I wasn't impressed. The signalink has worked very well!

I have since used it also for my TS450SAT Kenwood on PSK31 and the most recent use is to my FT530 HT as I run echolink. I get great signal reports. I had to get a PTT line by using a 0.1 uf cap and a 2.2k ohm resistor just like I did when I used that HT for packet. To my surprise it works great!

Good job Tigertronics. As for the only downside it should have an allen wrench included.

Tiny but perfect Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had my Signal link for more than a year now. I bought it because my notebook has only one serial port, and I need that for other things. This little unit is very well made and works a treat. The only negative comment I can make is that they don't supply an Allen key to open it up, which can be frustrating if you live outside the Imperial system :-)
Aftersales service was impeccable - I'd replace it again if I had to, and I generally build my equipment...

Model SL-1 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The SignaLink Sl-1 is an excellent product. I have used it for over a year now for PSK31 QSOs. No problems. I use their ICOM interface cable between my IC-746 and the SL-1.

Nice Interface Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Good quality in electronics and documentation.
No problems connecting to my Kenwood TS-570 S accesory port. The integrated VOX on the SignaLink allows easy use of laptops that don't have a RS-232 communications port.

Really nice interface Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a great product, with a lot of engineering and quality workmanship evident. The documentation and enclosed support & software CD are also very well done.

I followed the instructions, plugged it in, and was on the air in about 15 minutes with good reports of signal quality.

Highly recommended ... previous interface was the Rascal.
