Not bad for $45 bucks Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Well I might have paid a bit more than $40.... $45 is what I paid. Picked it up at Dayton this year. Put my analyzer on it and it looked fine for 2m I got from 1:1.2 to 1:1.5 SWR across the entire 2m band. Gave it a try from the condo and seems to work just fine. Before it goes up on the top of my 70' tower at my station location I will make sure things are sealed properly.

My guess that the reported problems in other posts were due to some other problem.

For $39, who can complain? Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I picked up this antenna for $39 new at the April 2003 Belton, TX hamfest. I figured for that price, I couldn't go wrong even if it was junk. I'll admit that I don't think it would seal out water as it came out of the package, but it a little RTV silicon caulking on the joints was enough to satisfy me that it is now sealed. I have no SWR problems as mentioned in the other reviews. For a buck shy of $40, it works way beyond my expectations.

Sucks BIG time folks Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I agree with the other guy. these antennas have very bad swr, they also leak water after in the air for about 3 months or so...very poor mounting hardware....

i have tryed many types of tram antennas do to its the only antenna that our ham shop stocked, they all suck...

Totally disatisfied Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I bought new upon a friends recommendation, he got his at a fest. I had high VSWR across the 2 meter band (1:2.25 to 1:3.0) and the 70 cm was OK at 1:1.5 to 1:2.0. I changed out the RG-8 cable for some Andrews superflex with no better results. Then I swept the system with a Site Master and found the VHF was tuned for around 130 MHz and the UHF tuned for around 455 MHz. It's now collecting dust in my garage until I get around to tuning for my 440 repeater with a 2 meter input. Mean while I now have a Comet GP-3 on my base station. I wouldn't let my dog use this one folks!
