Works for me too Time Owned: unknown months.
I just tuned my 10 yagi with the CIA-HF. It is a rugged unit, and gives all the clues needed to trim a beam. I was modifying a gamma match, and it put me on the money quickly. They could make the software included or cheaper, but that's life in the added accessory world. Batteries have been replaced once, after much use on Field day etc. I like it a lot, sold the MFJ.

A Graph is Worth a Thousand Data Points! Time Owned: unknown months.
The AEA CIA-HF gives you a really great feature - a graphical display of SWR, complex impedance, real and imaginary components of impedance - all versus frequency. You set the center frequency, bandwidth, mode to measure and scale - and voila! - you have a nice plot to look at. The unit is easy to haul up and down the tower, and I have not had to replace batteries yet - after about 2 months of casual use. The carry case is great. I gives you lots of clipping and hanging and viewing options for field use. What would be my wish list for this device? 1) Ability to store several plots internally, so you can download them to your pc for archiving and analysis, 2) faster sampling and screen updates, 3) easier manual sweep with data display - to emulate the MFJ kind of operation, 4) grid dip attachment. Bottom Line: I like this unit. At $400, it does a lot of high-end measurements. It teams up well with the MFJ-259B for all your HF antenna measurements.
