I recently sent my Orion back with a minor problem.It came back like new and updated.It was on the bench and out in less than a week.

I did not purchase the Orion 2 from them as I purchased the rig used and with a minor problem. Ten Tec Service department still treated me like I did purchase it from them. They went through the entire rig to make sure it was functioning as new. Fantastic service at a very reasonable price. Thanks Ten Tec! Otto KC2KKP

Outstanding Service Over The Years Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I just wanted to post a positive for Ten Tec Company and once again for an
American Company staying alive, staying in business, during all these years and
trying times we are now in.

I have a Centurion Linear which was bought new in 1992. After all these years of
service the cooling fan was getting noisy and needed replaced. A call to Ten Tec
was placed and in 4 short days a new fan was at my door step. The amazing thing
to me about all of this was the fairness of the price not only for the fan but
the shipping cost, nothing more was added but the actually price of shipping as
indicated on the box. For a total of $21 including shipping my new fan arrived
today. In addition Paul the service manager gave me a few heads up and tips
concerning doing the work myself.

Again a big thank you Ten Tec for not only making some great gear but the
service after the sale. BTW my Omni VII is going on 3 years now and has been
110% trouble free. What a nice combo the OM7 & the Centurion with QSK. You must
run this combo to realize ""How sweet it is"".

Technical questions have been quickly answered by TT service department without exception. Step by step isolation of problem was part of the service. Most recent example was my concern about a capacitor within the dc-dc regulator of my tt rig and they offered to ship it to me... no paperwork, no pricelist discussion, no lawyers :-) , they just shipped it.... This is really good and easy going service and I wish all companies would provide such customer service.

Pegasus Repair Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I recently sent a Pegasus down to the service dept.
Their service was prompt and the staff was courteous. This will certainly factor into my decision for future purchases.

I had what appeared to be a bad relay on the output filter board. Gary the service tech helped me confirm this diagnosis and assisted me in acquiring the proper part to resolve the problem. The parts were reasonably priced and Gary was courteous and helpful. It will make me think about an Omni VII in the future.

Bought a Ten-Tec Paragon not so long ago. My experience with the radio was a disaster (bloody PLL board) but i have to ad that any correspondence with Ten-Tec was very good. All emails were answered quickly, repairs were returned quickly and i even got a free hat from them. So all in all, although the radio was a dog their service was very good.

I purchased a new TT 715 Processor to use with my Icom IC-738. After hooking it up, I could not get any audio from the Processor to the radio. I emailed TT, and Paul(service dept manager) sent me a email with things to try and a request for my phone number so we could talk directly. I was at work and unable to take a call. I did go back reread the manual and try what he and the 715 expert suggested and still nothing out of the 715. I checked the cable to make sure no shorts or bad connections. I emailed Paul again and let him know what I did.
I received another email from Paul, saying after talking to the production manager, they decided to send me a new 715 and cable for my Icom. The bad one will go back. Now that is what I call outstanding service

My experience over the years with TenTec service has been outstanding. I recently sent an older model 705 electret microphone for the service department to change the 4-pin to an 8-pin connector. At my age, that kind of precise soldering is beyond my capabilities. Well, not only did TT provide the 8-pin connector, but also a new mic cord and a new bottom plate and maybe some new switches on the inside (have not looked yet). I use it with my Omni VII now. Cost was about $30 plus shipping and the mic works and looks fine. Thanks TT - You know that I will be back!

My Ten-tec RX-340 developed a Bite failure in the first RF mixer. Sent the unit to Ten-Tec repair after filling out the service form found on their website. Received e-mails upon it's arrival to their service center, repair was made, receiver was run thru all tests and returned to me in less than two weeks. The service tech even replaced the "rubber tire" around the tuning knob with a new crisp one at no extra charge. Receiver was received back with no new scratches or unwanted surprises.
The tech also issued me a copy of his test report that indicated what tests were run and documented the serial number on it. My bill was reasonable and the receiver is working like new.

I cannot speak for everyone, but my experience was pleasant.

Class Act Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I had a minor problem with my out of warranty Orion 2.They were very good on the phone to help me resolve the issue,but I just couldn't get the problem solved.
I sent it in and a week later I received it back in perfect working order.Not only did they fix the problem,but went through the radio with a fine toothed comb,and sent a summary of all the diagnostics performed on the radio.

I also own a Ten Tec Jupiter,an Omni 7 and the orion 2.I have been to their factory and was totally impressed with their operation,and of course the high quality of their products.
