These Guys Know Service! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I haven't felt compelled to write a review about a service and parts department until recently. In the last couple of years, I have had to call Ten Tec Service to get parts to repair some older TT items given to me (Triton IV, an Argonaut 509, and a Hercules 444) ... I have been pleasantly surprised and a little amazed that the parts were still available and a knowlegable and patient staff present to answer questions about the older product.
I noticed that each time I called, I was forwarded promptly to the right person for the particular product line and given the information needed to effect repairs. The cost of the factory parts was reasonable as well (in a couple of cases, where it was one or two little items, I think they sent the stuff off in the mail for nothing). A group which apparently is proud of their product and is willing to stand behind it for that many years is indeed a rare thing these days.
While I do own HF radios from two other MFGs,
it (frankly) was this body of experience with Ten Tec Service which convinced me to purchase a new radio from them late last year.

Absolutely first class! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
My Argonaut V developed an output problem. I made a call to TT to see if they might have a hint on something I overlooked. Everyone on the phone was polite and informative.

I ended up sending the rig in. That was less than two weeks ago. It came back yesterday in perfect shape. No warranty hassles, no problems at all.

It's great to be able to call the factory and talk to people without having to learn a foreign language first.

Excellent Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've only had to send one piece of Ten Tec gear in for repair and the turn around and work was excellent. And they were friendly and courteous - which really stands out in todays "outsourced / off-shored" world.

Update Time Owned: more than 12 months.
In all fairness they finally replied and offered to make it right. That's good enough for me.

The PITS! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
All these reviewers should try calling TT when they have a problem with one of the radios TT is 'not proud of'.... In my case, it was an SP-325 receiver. woof woof
In all my 40+ years of hamming I have never been treated so rudely, as I was by the people in Tenn.
Although lots of operators rave about thier TTs, I know I'll NEVER own another or recommend one, either.

As Requested Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I just had my good ol'Triton IV overhauled by the factory after it had been sitting in a box for several years. I love this old radio and it will probably come to the grave with me.

TT did a great job fixing the PTO as well as just giving it a clean bill of health. I have to say it works as well as when I bought the rig back in the late 70s!

TT asked me to give them a list of what I wanted repaired as well as my email address to let me know the cost, etc. They never did respond in any way and just called when the rig was ready. I was hoping they would have emailed me, but the cost was under $150 so no big deal...that is about what I thought.

Otherwise, they were a piece of cake to work with and I highly recommend them as well as all of their products.

Keep up the good work!

Confident Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Just had my Omni V in for repair of the audio board after I did some damage by allowing AC voltage into the low level audio out jack by mistake. They not only replaced the audio board but also found some failed components in the front end from a lightning strike several years ago which I thought I had repaired but missed some things. Now the rx is even better than it ever was, I thought it was good before but now it's even better. I've had this Omni V for 9 years as my main rig so I had a good idea how it performed and was very impressed when I tried it after it was returned from service to find it performed better than ever. It was clear they did a very complete check out of the rx because they found problems I didn't even know about. There are many brands now who won't even service their older models but T*T not only services all the gear they ever made but they will put it back in perfect order for like new performance. The T*T staff takes pride in their work and totally understand their gear so they can do the finest work possible on them. The turn over time was about 3 weeks which was also during the holiday season, I sent it in on Dec, 18th and the repairs were done by Jan 9th. I received a post card with a job number when they got it so checking up by phone was quick and easy, they have real people on the phones who speak English! I don't see anything they could improve on with their service so they get a solid 5 on this review. I now have my favorite rig back in top notch condition, they returned it in a brand new box and foam support in a heavy plastic bag just like a new rig would be shipped so it returned to me in great condition. T*T treats their gear just like the owners would and I'm confident they check out everything to be sure the rig is in top condition when it leaves their care. T*T is the finest ham gear I've ever used and I've gone to 100% T*T ham shack so I can use their fine service for on everything "if" I need it. My Omni V has been on the air just about every day of the year for nearly 10 years now and has only needed service 2 times, both times were due to something I did to the rig by accident not it's own failure. I get the same great dependable service from all my T*T gear plus great audio and signal reports which is why I only use T*T and it's all I ever will use. Having T*T is like having you very own service department too and they always treat me with respect and listen or explain to my questions, it's like talking to an old friend. By keeping everything in house T*T has control over every aspect of their products, something most of the other brands just don't have.

Great Service Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have a Triton IV that I sent in for service on my way to Europe with the military. Also sent in the remote vfo to have the dial re-strung. Even though this gear is well over twenty years old they repaired the audio board and a few other minor items. It arrived a month later in Germany and works great, and will probably give me another 20 years of trouble free operation. Ten Tec's service is like their equipment, still the best years later.

Excellent Service Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought a Ten-Tec Jupiter back in April. The radio worked flawlessly until about a month ago. The display went crazy with all sorts of strange characters on it. I talked to the service rep at Ten-Tec. He was most helpful in checking out my radio over the phone. No luck though. I packed up the Jupiter and sent it back to Ten-Tec. It was back in 13 days. They replaced the display module, and updated the software to the latest issue. I could not be more pleased with their over-the-phone help, and prompt repair.
