Outstanding Product! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
As a VERY new ham I took this screwdriver and installed it on my pickup armed with only the instructions and a basic knowledge of antenna installation. Within 5 minutes of installation I had made a contact in Lithuania. Since then I have worked station all over the world with exceptional results. Tunes EASILY from 6 meters to 160 meters and everything in between. The only minor problem I had with the antenna Larry fixed for me immediately and without a single complaint. He's a sincere joy to work with and I can't say enough good about him or his fine product. I researched screwdrivers for 6 months prior to purchasing my antenna from KJ7U and found his to be the absolute best quality. With the one exception I read in the reviews I've never heard a bad word or a negative opinion of this antenna. If you're considering getting a screwdriver I can't think of a better one.

Outstanding! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have used several different mobile antennas over the last 20 + years and the KJ7U design is by far the best. Using Hustlers, Bug Catchers, Ham Sticks, and home brew mobile antennas in the past, I have found that if you like to operate multi-bands it sure is a hassle to pull over and change whips or taps just to QSY!
Some hams have gone to the ATAS-100 for convenience but lose performance. I’m not saying the ATAS-100 is a bad antenna, but if you are looking to make reliable contacts on 20 meters and below you should give the KJ7U screwdriver a look. With the KJ7U screwdriver you can have both convenience and performance plus 80 and 160 meters.

Here are some of the advantages I have found with the KJ7U design:
1. Larry “KJ7U” stands behind his antenna and will work with you
2. Simple mounting with just one base mount and no other support brackets needed
3. Superb construction with aircraft aluminum, fiberglass core for the coil “No Melt Down”, rubber boot or clear cover model “I liked the rubber boot look myself”
4. Ease of removal for that occasional parking garage
5. Performance from 6-160 meters!

Note: If you do decide to get one of the KJ7U screwdrivers follow Larry’s instructions to the “T”. In other words do yourself a favor and READ the manual that comes with the antenna before you install. Larry has a lot of good info that is covered in the manual like grounding, mounting etc…

Excellent Antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
this is an excellent antenna. I purchased about a year to a year and a half ago. Great engineering design. In the instructions, Larry emphasize the most important piece to install. That is the ground. The vehicle is the ground plan and with out good ground the antenna will not operate very well. I have 2 wire braids running to the truck body and I have had no problem with tuning. I get better reception, even on the road with this than my base station and have also had excellent signal reports from all over the Pacific Northwest. Larry did an excellent job of engineering this antenna. I have considered buying a second one for a base station antenna.

Great product & support! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Larry stands behind his product. My antenna was damaged in transit and Larry took great care to make things right. I have used this antenna for 8 months now without a problem and am pleased with my purchase. I use it on 10, 12, 15, 17 & 20 meters with good signal reports while mobile. I have yet to try it on 160, 80, 40 or 6 meters. I made a mount from 2" receiver tube and have it mounted in my trailer hitch receiver. The antenna has held up to the elements and still looks brand new. I met another ham at the Timonium hamfest who has the same antenna & we compared notes. He was also pleased & said it worked well for him on 160 meters. I would recommend the antenna to others.

great antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
i have this screwdriver and have shown it to other ham's,it hear's better then my beam or my dipole.it also has no problem handling 500 to 600 watts output, have had other ham operaters pull me over to see how well it works. i'm going to put one up on my house, because of how well it works.

excellent performer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've bought a lot of equipment from bigger companies that did not work up to their claims.
This antenna works great on 6 meters through 160 just as claimed tuning it is a breeze and all from the inside of your vehicle.
It is well made comes with all hardware needed and good instructions for mounting and wiring.
It was a pleasure to get something well made and have it work like it was supposed to.
I thought the price was resonable compared to a few other screwdriver antennas I looked at and cheaper than some other all band types of antennas.Absolutley no tuner needed with this antenna.I had a few questions about the antenna before and after I bought it and always had fast responses to my emails.

Good Performer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The KJ7U antenna was very easy to install. Put it on the air and worked DX first contact. Antenna is a bit tricky at first to tune for perfect SWR but is achievable every time. Gets easier as you get used to it.
Product is well made and comes with a good install kit. 72" whip and power cabling are not included.
Price is good at $249.00
