The Best! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I did get it back. a true balanced tuner, also tunes coax FB. With a good antenna analyzer, set up each antenna/band, write down settings, from then band changes are a snap. Big time quality! Good for qrp-1kw+. Sometimes the old stuff really is that good.

For balanced lines & coax. Several manual adjustments, Matches almost any antenna! Wish I had it back.

Only the best there is..... Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
If you want the most efficient tuner possible, a link-coupled tuner like this is the way to go For Ladder Line. This tuner outperformed my Johnson Matchbox!!! If you can find one get it, I found one on ebay for $100.00

1:1 SWR is just 3 gator clips away Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
As near as I can determine, these tuners were made in limited quantities in the early 1970's. The case is composed entirely of 1/4" black plexiglass to preserve circuit Q. The tuning procedure involves removing the front "drawer" and positioning 3 alligator clips to the appropriate positions for that band.

Then the 3 knobs on front are adjusted for minimum SWR, usually 1:1 on all bands -- WARC included -- from 80-10M. Try that with a Johnson Matchbox (I did.. it didn't work). I rate it a "4" because changing alligator clips is a pain in the butt.

But if you have a balanced feedline antenna and want to reduce stray RF and TVI, and you want the most efficient tuner possible, a link-coupled tuner like this is the way to go. This tuner outperformed and replaced a Ten-Tec 238, an LDG AT-11MP, and a Johnson Matchbox, all of which I used for my 270ft ladder-fed doublet. I still need a solution for 160M.
