Wonderful QRPp fun Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have never been disappointed in a Small Wonder Labs kit. The Rock-Mite20 sure delivers some QRPp fun on 14.059.1 and 14.059.8. The dual freq selection is loads of fun to play with and the keyer is smooth and QSK is flawless.

I am using a good stiff conventional P/S and have no hum or other artifacts. I am looking fwd to putting it into one of the MityBoxes to dress it up a bit.

The kit is for an experienced builder due to the lack of step-by-step instructions and the use of one surface mounted part. Novice builders would be happier with one of Dave's other kits that include more detailed info.

All the parts were there and each is working just as intended. No problems of any kind. Worked literally right off the bench with some solder joints still steaming with heat :-)

Check Small Wonder Labs often for updates on other kits and surprises that Dave has in store for us.
Thanks Dave for fueling the heat of my soldering iron with great success and much operating pleasure.

Great little rigs Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Built both 40M and 20M versions
Fun to build and a great value for the money
the receiver MDS is approx 0.1uV
500mW output @12V on 40M model a couple of dB less output on the 20M model.

Fits perfectly inside of an Altoids tin I used several phenolic washers with a piece of fish paper under the PCB to protect from shorting.

Note:
During assembly Be careful on upper left hand corner, when building the board leave the leads on R8 long enough to clear the hole so that the mounting hardware (1/4" nut) will not be too close to cause a possible B+ short you may need to use a small phenolic washer between the nut and the board.

Wow! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just finished building one of the first RockMite 20m versions. What a super little rig! Went together without any problems. Powered-up and played first try. The electronic keyer is really a slick feature, too. Just like Dave's other kits, a real deal and a blast to use!

Excellent value for the money Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
There's something amazing, and amazingly fun, about being able to make contacts with a $25 rig the size of a playing card. I built my Rock-Mite in about 2 hours including the time spent putting it into an Altoids-like tin. Transmitter, receiver and keyer all worked fb upon power-up. I hooked it to my dipole, called CQ and worked Maine, Ontario and Michigan stations, no problem.
Fun stuff!
