bad solder job Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Ordered 14 9913 jumpers from cablexperts with 259 connectors. Already 2 of them have gone bad. Just came loose and the connectors just fell off. Examined them closley and there was absolutely no solder on the center conductor or sheild although the external appearance of the solder joints looked perfect. I e mailed them with a note advising them I was having trouble with their connectors and they will not answer me. Wonder how many of the other connectors are bad???

Quality made cables shipped quickly Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought two 6 foot CXP-1318 patch cables with "N" connectors from Cable X-Perts recently. The cables arrived exactly when promised, and appeared to be of quality construction. They are in service now in my UHF repeater between the cans and the receiver and transmitter, working flawlessly. I would definitely buy from them again.

I've had a bad one Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've purchased a bunch of these pre-made jumpers from Cable X perts over the past two years. Lengths 1', 3', 6', 12' with PL259s. I had one that was bad right out of the bag, it was shorted inside one of the connectors also.

I emailed with my complaint and it was handled to my satisfaction, they paid the return postage and sent me a replacement in a reasonable time. This was, however, a year ago. Their website has changed, they have a $40 minimum order now which frankly has stopped me from ordering from them anymore, I use Davis RF now - Bury Flex, look it up, it's superior.

I think it's reasonable to expect them to ask for the bad part back, I also think it was reasonable of WB5VNX to just cut off the PL259 and install a new one, that's what I would have done and HAVE done on similar things.

I purchased a good quality coax stripper that preps the line for a connector and now I wouldn't dream of purchasing pre-made jumpers anymore, but at the time I had more money than time.

Never a Problem Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I wanted to post something on the other side of the spectrum. I have purchased 9913 and this new CXP1318 from them, only 100ft, and a 75 ft run. have the Pl-259's. I have both outside one into a Comet GP9, the other into an 8 elemnt cubex quad vertical beam on my roof. Never a problem. SWR's are 1.1-1.4 over the entire 144-147 spectrum.

Maybe you had a bad experience, although they should have given you some credit, but maybe its their policy?

Good Coax Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The coax itself is great quality. The center conductor is a bit large and doesn't fit all PL259s without a slight assist by resizing. Sheath is good and the center conductor is separated with a spiral wrap. Inflitration from a breach would be a serious problem. Because of the breach problem and the oversized center conductor I'm not going to rate it great.
