A great new version Time Owned: more than 12 months.
As long time tlf user I discovered some unpleasant bugs. The new version 0.9.31-2 fixes almost all of them! tlf is now full-featured contesting program whoch can easily compete with CT, TR or other classics. I'm very happy with it and unpatiently waiting for next bigger contest to test it.

The best one for me. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use TLF from the beginning of it, it always worked fine and PA0R Rein is always available to solve problems. Worked with in in OK-OM contest, LZ contest and finaly in CQWW CW, always a charm.
I advice all to use TLF because always it works fine.

great logging software Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Used it first in the 2004 ARRL Field Day. Cabrillo output worked fine, networking with multiple laptops works fine. Operators needed minimal training to use. Configuring the setup files took a bit of study but not too hard.

Our club will use it again in the 2005 Field Day since it has worked well for us.

Have played with the rig control and cw daemon but haven't used them in a real contest yet.

Great tool, real TR log replacement Time Owned: more than 12 months.
That's really exellent tool, has a de-facto standard look and feel inherited from famouns TRlog but it's not the same. I had got a minor problems on NetBSD, nevertheless, right now it works well. I really dislike contest loggers that lose info during the constest and it doesn't matter which part of software is responsible such as the logger itself or host operation system. Guessing, you know what I mean. Some hams just use a separate notebook with stable environment for contests only. Most of the are using old good one MS-DOS ans TRLog or something like that. The main point is to use isolated software environment. It works and it makes sence. However, I belive there is the better approach. The main idea is to use bootable CD with linux(netbsd or any unix you prefer)+ tlf and USB flash drive for log files.
In time the contest, you just plug prepared USB flash to your notebook, insert contest CD, reboot computer, and now, you are ready to fight. It doesnt' matter what is on your hard disk, only special assigned USB flash drive and CR-ROM drive are used in a contest.
Have a look at for more info related to this configuration.

Sure TLF is better way than usage an ancient software nowadays.

Very nice loging software for Linux Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
It is not long ago since I moved to Linux and the first ham software I needed was the Log software.
The TLF (strange name, yes I read the explanation) but the software works perfect with both TR-LOG (standard) and CT-LOG compatible commands. Not many 'bells' but it is much more then enough for me. Fast, intuitive and easy way to enter QSO info both for contest and for standard QSOs. It even have a good CW contest simulator. See you in a CW contest.

Quick, easy to use and powerfull Time Owned: more than 12 months.
TLF is the best contest logging software for Linux and i think it's also better than the most of other OS ones. It is advanced, full of features and the best of all... made for us. If you miss a feature you just have to write the author and you will have your feature in a few days or weeks!!
