AWFUL! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Radio was ok f0or a while then all of a sudden the modulstion went today. The mic went about 9 months ago and I would not buy another one if I had to give over $40. It would over deviate and to many problems to list here.

Great radio, BAD mic Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I basically stole the previous reviewers summary,
except that I would describe the microphone as Bad(worse than poor).
Like the previous reviewer, my PTT switch went out after very little use. Icom sent me a replacement microswitch, but not the easiest task to replace it.
Basically I am still happy with the rig, but ended up just replacing the mic.

Great Radio, Poor Mike Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned this radio for a little over a year and I've enjoyed almost every minute of it. I have seen a little intermod in metro areas, but I would expect that in any radio. The only problem I've had with the 207H is the mike that comes with the radio. My PTT microswitch started to stick about 2 months ago and I just had to open it up and rebuild it this weekend. A friend of mine who owns a 207H just had the same problem, so this seems like a design flaw.

Excellent rig Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Excellent workhorse rig- never a lick of trouble in my 02 CR-V- and it's been bounced around more than you might expect. Had the rig for about 18 months now- great audio reports- even running Simplex from disaster sites on EMCOMM missions. Got a good deal at $250- considering a second on closeout at $199 for the house.

Overall Decent Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The short time that I used this type of radio, I had great results. Now for the negative. In January of 2000 my detachable faceplate burned along with my appartment. The RF unit was mounted in the car. Icom wants $279.00 for a replacement faceplate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMHO that is absolutly rediculous!! If anyone knows of a place that I can aquire a broken rig with a good faceplate for cheap, email me at "honz69@bellsouth.net"

Excellent Mobile Rig Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
My first mobile rig, easy installation and setup. I'm using it in my 99 Tahoe with an inexpensive MFJ antenna, and have great results. Recently used on a road trip from Jacksonville, FL to Wichita Falls TX and back, performed flawlessly!

Only downside I can see with my radio is it is not compliant with NTIA narrowband or wideband standards, which is now a requirement for operation in the Civil Air Patrol. Very minor issue to me as I have a HT for that purpose.

I would definately purchase another of these fine rigs in the future.

GREAT RADIO Time Owned: more than 12 months.
HAD MINE FOR 2 YEARS NOW. GREAT SIGNAL REPORTS--MIKE MAYBE A LITTLE HOT. TOOK UNIT ON CAMPOUT TO SET UP ON TABLE AND DROPPED IT IN MY TRUCK!! BROKEN LCD AND TUNING KNOB. THOUGHT THAT WAS THE END OF MY LITTLE RADIO THEN CALLED RAD-COMM & WAS TOLD FIX WOULD COST ABOUT 50.00!! CAN'T BEAT THAT!!

Great Radio Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This is the only radio I have, and even though I have not got much experience with radios, I think this is great for the price. I have had no problems with it. The only downside is the noise of the fan, which comes on when you transmit.

A very good radio Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The first thing I did after unpacking my radio was to check it out with a service monitor. I was surprised to see that the frequency was off by 1850 Hz on the 440 band- a significant error. The modulation limiting was set far too high on both VHF and UHF- nearly 5.3 kHz. The voice deviation must be limited to around 4.2 kHz, to leave room for CTCSS tone deviation and stay within the 5 kHz bandwidth. I was pleased to see that the tone deviation was 800 to 900 Hz, which is just a tad high, but acceptable. I don't see any adjustment for it. Once the voice deviation limits were set correctly and the reference oscillator was tuned, the radio was installed. It sounds great, and it receives very well. Overall, I really like it. On the negative side, I don't feel that I should have to make major adjustments before placing the radio in service.

Fine simple radio for a good price Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have had no problems with this radio and I have the separation kit installed in my Jeep Cherokee.
