Good 1st Meter Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Not a bad little meter. Seems to be accurate enough, has a fairly smooth cross-needle meter movement, and the calibration is internally adjustable. Uses no external or internal power (except for the meter lamp- 12v), and has been utterly reliable in my shack for several years.

I replaced the 815-B with Palstar's WM-150, not because I was displeased with the MFJ, but just to get a matching unit for my new Palstar tuner. By the way, the Palstar WM-150 wattmeter is similarly priced with the MFJ 815-B, but is heavier, and looks and feels higher in quality. Operationally, they are both about the same.

The only criticism I have for the MFJ 815-B is that it is very light in weight. If you are connecting heavy or stiff coax (such as RG8/U) directly to the meter's rear panel SO-239 coax connectors, the lightweight MFJ 815-B meter has a tendency to be lifted from the desk or shelf it's sitting upon by the coax.
