Good radio, one minor annoyance Time Owned: unknown months.
I enjoy my w32a, with one exception. I wish there were at least a medium power level. It is either all or nothing with this radio, but like the title says, a MINOR annoyance. The radio is very good other than that. I really like to sub-band muting, and lots of memory channels, as I sometimes travel, and it is nice to have frequencies other than repeaters programmed in.

All radios should be as good as this one. Time Owned: unknown months.
In my opinion, this is one great radio. It has 100 channels on each band, all programed in from your computer if you want. I have 200 channels programed in my radio. One nice feature is the ability to check what town the freq. is in, just by pushing a button. When I go anywhere, I just grab my IC-W32A and I know I will be able to use it anywhere without checking to see if the right frequency's are in it. It may be just the thing you want also in a radio if you think about it.

An OK radio with some serious problems Time Owned: unknown months.
I bought my 32A last April on the advice of many people. The radio is a mixed bag. The audio and usability of the radio are pretty good, but Icom did not put an adequate front-end on this radio. Well, let me explain. If you live in a remote part of Montana you should enjoy the radio. But I live in New York, and intermod overloads it everytime. Yes, repeaters can open the squelch and that's about it. Wish I bought a Motorola.

No more Icoms for me!

By the way, I am also the happy owner of a FT-847. Thank God.
