EXCELLENT Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had a few of these in my (ham) lifetime, and it probably is the most trouble free piece of equipment made in america today. I'll bet the Astron repairman and the Maytag repairman are on the golf course everyday.

Bullet Proof Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought the supply when I was first licensed in 92. It's been running perfectly all that time. It just sits there pumping out 13.8 all day long without so much as a hiccup.

We had a nearby ligthning strike come in on the cable system a couple of weeks ago. Smoked a router, 3 NIC's and a couple of monitors. The RS-35 sits on the same desk and and circuit, all it needed was a reset of the power switch.

This supply is designed to be stuffed out of the way and forgotten. If you've got the supply on a desk where you could possibly short the posts or come in contact with the pass transistors you need to clean the desk.

A Diesel, and as heavy too! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use the RS-35A for my IC-718, and it works just great. I hear a slight hum from the RS-35A but it does Not bother me. I had the Samlex 1223 switching supply before this but there was too much "hash" in the receiver.

What can I say? Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Not much I can add here, which is good. Owned an RS-35A since the mid-80s. Just pulled mine out of storage where it has been sitting since 1992. Turned it on and business as usual, rock solid 13.8 volts.

Only thing I don't really like are the binding posts, but wire up a rigrunner or homebrewed equivalent, throw the 35A in a cabinet or under your bench, and you'll never have to touch them again.

Does exactly what it is supposed to. If all of my equipment were this reliable I would be very happy!

Excellent Power Supply Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I can't imagine anyone giving an RS 35A power supply a poor rating. I guess there can be defects in any piece of equipment, but I have owned 5 or 6 of these over the years and have had no problems at all, even after being shipped, when I bought or sold new and used.

KISS=the best Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Had my RS-35 for years. Quietly just sits their and operates, all I do is turn it on and off. Probably the most dependable and simple piece of equipment I have, I expect it will be the oldest piece I have--why just replace it for a smaller one?

You will not go wrong getting one of these units.

Working for 17 Years Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have two of the Astron power supplies both with meters Volts/Amps. I have been using them for over 17 years to power various rigs. I only wish the attachments (tranceivers etc.) to them lasted as long as the power supplies.

No Problems Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had my power supply since about 10 or so years now. No problems and no complaints. Just sits there and works. I wish I had the meters but no problem.
