Best buy Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Have owned this power supply for over 10 years. Zero problems. No noise. You won't go wrong buying one of these.

Obedient slave Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Comments mimic others. Mine sits inside a bookcase beside desk. Got really hot, so I put the feet inside 4" stubs of PVC pipe, painted them black and put crutch tips on the bottom. Added a muffin fan supported by cut off chop sticks. Fan points up toward the cooling fins. Warm but not to worry now. I do not like the loud thump that usually occurs on start-up. I could not live with the PS that came with my ICOM, took 3 days of listening to it before ordering the Aston. Priced right and dependable.

Flawless Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Powering my Kenwood TS-570D. Turned it on in 2004, and forgot it was there except to see the red light in the switch when I walk into the shack. Never a problem, best PS I ever owned.

Set and forget Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Currently using one of these to run my Icom 706 and my Yaesu FT8900. It is set and forgot. Turn it on, and never think about it again. This is the 3rd or 4th Astron supply I have had, and they have all been excellent!

15+ Years and Going Strong Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I purchased my Astron RS-35A back in '92 and since that time, it's been running 24/7 service without a single problem. The unit does run somewhat warm as a linear supply, and no doubt the electrolytic capacitors are nearing the end of their useful life. But after replacement, I expect the supply to last at least another 15+ years. Very satisfied with this purchase.

A Solid Work Horse Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Read all the reviews in this thread. If it weren't for one nut that never owned one and "tested" it on the counter of a ham radio store and gave it a "0" review, and those who said it "hummed", this unit would be a perfect "5" as it should be. I've owned several of these supplies over the years, and I currently have a 35A running my HF station all seven 12V accessories via a Rig Runner. This is a great, solid supply, and mine doesn't have even close to a noticeable hmmm. It is also very easy to repair this unit. RS-35A's have become another ham radio icon.

Can't beat it Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had my RS-35M in heavy service for right around 16 years now, maybe more. It supplies all the DC power my rigs require without breaking a sweat. I did have one failure with the unit late last year. A trip to the local Rat Shack and $2 and some odd cent s later the supply was back online. Buy one of these tanks you will not be sorry.

I have had a few of these over the years. Very solid, can be had for reasonable prices used, highly recommended

Great PWR Supply Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This unit cost less than $150.00. The Power supply is heavy but very durable. This could be the best 25 amp Continuous /35amp ICS
RS-35A 25amp/35 Size 5x11x11 Weight 27.
A little heavy but delivers.

Death, Taxes and the RS-35A Time Owned: more than 12 months.
After 13 years of powering an SO2R low power contest station, my RS-35A finally quit, or at least I thought so. I turned it on, and neither of my Omni Sixes came to life, so I pulled the supply and put it on the bench. I had bought it used in 1993, so I figured if it was a total loss, I still got more than my money's worth. I was ready to buy another if necessary.

Funeral plans were premature. When I checked it out, it showed a perfect 13.8 volts DC. When I traced the DC loss through my power distribution box, I realized that one of the heavy duty banana jacks had come loose. A quick tightning and I was back on the air.

Yes, this thing is as heavy as a '67 Cadillac, but it wasn't designed for DXpeditions or Field Day. You set it on a shelf. You turn it on. It works. Day after day, month after month, year after year.

I think it was Will Rogers who said that the only things in life that are certain are death and taxes. Let me add the RS-35 to that.
