How easy??? Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Well, I bought this bit of kit yesterday (sept 20 2003), at the Leicester rally in the UK. I started setting it up, but because I got home late and was tired, I left the rest till the morning. I spent a total of an about 2 hours reading, connecting everything and installing software, and I was on the air. This box of tricks is everything the makers say it is, and setup is extremely easy. I had to refer to the radio manual to check the pin-outs for the radio (FT-920),as there are different connections for radios with isolated PTT & audio grounds, but once this was checked, it was a breeze. All the information you need (including idiot proof drawings) are in the manual and a few minutes spent reading the bits you require was all that was needed. Quality is excellent, setup was real easy.... and it WORKS. What more could anyone want.

Top of the line in craftsmanship and service: Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
If you want top of the line craftsmanship and support this is it. The features are just fantastic..and the owners manual is simple and straight to the point. They tell you step by step how to hook the Pro up. If you are a computer nerd you can still follow their instructions and get on the air in under 30 minutes. They include a very nice cd with all kinds of software too. These folks have even taken the time to answer questions from me about some of these modes that i have never heard of. Get that kind of support from somewhere else! Hey...i'm working the world all over again...thanks to the folks at West Mountain Radio! You audio buffs should check out the Pro also. You can download the equalizer programs from the net and let your computer and the Pro eq your tx and rx audio. I wish i had know about the Pro before i bought hundreds of dollars worth of eq gear.
