"GREAT WORK FROM A SUPER PERSON" Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I had the pleasure of being refered to BYRON, From my brother/best friend N9HNO, Sonny. I must say, that the FT-107M that I sent in, came back to me better that I had hoped for., Not only did Byron fix all the concerns, He helped me out When in my life I was having a very bad financial concern,. He is a "HONEST", CARRING and a CREDIT to the ham community. His prices are fair and turn around is most reasonable. If you need work done on your low-band equipment, Do yourself a big favor, Use BYRONS service, He is a "NO B.S." type of shop, I have come to trust him, and all I know that have dealt with him, feel the same as I do. In my book, "TRUST" has to be earned, And Byron, If you read this, You have mine, "GOD BLESS YOU", For your honesty and integrity you display, "YOU HAVE MY WORK FROM NOW ON" !!!!!

Good man for older Yaesu repair Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Sent Byron several classic Yaesus for repair over the past year, including an FT-107 and several FT-102s. Extremely pleased with the quality of repair, alignment, and documentation of work done on my radios. My sense is that he does a very thorough job.

Pricing is fair and turnaround time has been quite reasonable also (2-3 weeks, typical). When I hear stories about how xyz fixed a set for $20 in 3 hours, it makes me suspicious! Careful repair and alignment takes time, after all.

Not every shop takes on the older Yaesu gear and I can understand why, given the no-fun relay and switching problems these radios are prone to exhibit, compounded by unavailability of factory parts.

Every radio I sent to EES came back working wonderfully and fully tweaked. With Byron on the job. I no longer feel the least bit tempted to fix it myself. If you're running vintage Yaesu, keep EES in your rolodex!

Byron repaired a TS-820S for me that had a power supply problem. His communication was excellent, repairs well done, and price very fair. Turnaround time was good, overall, a very satisfactory experience. I will use Byron for any future repairs, and do not hesitate to recommend him. Thanks Byron for bringing my old rig back to life.

I recently purchased a used Yaesu FT-990. After some use the receiver did not seem as sensitive as it should be. I contacted Byron and after some discussion, he suggested I send the rig in for inspection and service. The turnaround including ship time was less than 2 weeks. He did a complete alignment and replaced some defective parts. The transceiver now performs as good as new. Byron was pleasure to deal with and his service and communication is outstanding!!! Thank you Byron.

I discovered Byron through the internet and all I can say is that I am so glad I did. He is very thorough in his diagnostics and professional in his workmanship. The turn around time is quick and communications are timely and detailed. He has worked on an FT-101E and a couple of TS-830S's for me and they have come back running smoother than when they left the factory. His fee is competetive and, although he no longer accepts credit cards, the quick professional service is well worth it.

My Yeasu 767 developed a problem on recieve. Took it to Byron (whom I've known for some time) and 2 days later it was working better than new. Really, it was better on recieve than it ever had been. All I can say is "Thanks Byron(Master B)".

If you want your rig fixed right the first time I recommend you send it to Byron, WA4GEG. He has serviced a Kenwood TS-830S,Heathkit SB-1000 Amp and most recently a Kenwood TS-440S for me. He does excellent work and I've never had to send anything back after he fixed it. Also, his rates a very reasonable!! He's a super person whom I've enjoyed doing business with. de W4HRC
