great1 Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I STRUGGLED FOR MONTHS TRYING THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY LOGGING PROGRAMS. I GAVE UP AND STARTED A WRITTEN LOG UNTIL ONE DAY I STUMBLED UPON DXLAB. IT LOOKED DAUNTING AT FIRST, BUT I FOLLOWED DAVE'S ADVICE AND TACKLED IT SEQUENTIALLY, SUPPORT?. I WANTED TO CONTROL MY YAESU ROTOR, BUT YAESU WANTED 600 PLUS BUCKS FOR THEIR PROGRAM. DXLAB FORUMS PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH PROGRAMS COSTING 1/4 LESS. I NOW HAPPILY CONTROL THE ROTOR WITH DAVE'S PROGRAM. DXLAB? IT JUST DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS!

Excellent stuff! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The DXLab suite is simply the best!
You can either use the whole suite, or just some of the applications that it supports.
I tend to have Spotcollector (DX Cluster operations) open 24/7, as well as my logbook (DXKeeper).
I run MMTTY seperately, with the bridge MMD, which logs anything in MMTTY directly into the logbook.
The whole suite inter-operates nicely with my IC7800, microHam MKII, and ERC rotator controller.
When I am on the bands, I can open DXView, and get info pertaining to any call I work, move the beam, and even get useful phrases in the local language!
It also interacts nicely with LoTW and ClubLog.
As has been said before, the support is amazing, and is way beyond anything else.
You couldn't ask for more.

73 and good DX

DXLab makes my life simple! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used some other logging programs. None gave me everything I wanted. When I first tried DXLab, I was almost overwhelmed with all it could do. I started by just using Spot Collector to see how that worked. Then I tried using the logging feature. Soon I was using almost everything! I had some help along the way, as there is a learning curve. But the support is fantastic. I hate "paper work" and love how DXLab makes this so easy. And it will handle my situation, which is that I operate from AZ in the winter and ID in the summer. It's easy to set up different locations and easy to switch between them as needed. I use 2 monitors now, and that makes it very nice. But you do not need to keep all the windows "up" all the time. Using it with 1 monitor works great too. And a big Thank You to Dave for all his work and support.

Excellent Time Owned: more than 12 months.
DXLab Suite has renewed my excitement for chasing DX. Station automation and logging tasks are fully supported.

While the complete suite of software is complex with many interactions, all are fully documented. If you don't understand how something should work or if you identify something not working, a brief email to dxlab@yahoogroups.com will result in Dave, AA6YQ, responding with a link, solution, or fix usually in less than 24 hours.

If you have a solution, Dave provides a space in the DXLab wiki as in: http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/DDUtilPowerSDRN1MMSkimmerCommander

The best part for many is the price.... FREE, not freeware but FREE. Should you feel guilty about not paying for this excellent software and support, Dave will suggest a charitable donation to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.

I started out looking for a free / cheap logging program to install on my new computer and found DXLab Suite. Vista does not play well with many applications but Dave, AA6YQ, supports his software and all the equipment it interfaces as if you were his only high paying customer.... first rate support for freeware, unbelievable.

Double click on a spot and the rig QSYs to the DX's QRG with the mode and filters preset, make the contact and click the log button and DXKeeper is ready to upload the details into LOTW and eQSL.

Or make a contact on PSK-31 with WinWarbler and log the QSO to DXKeeper, upload to LOTW and have a confirmation within minutes...

DXLab has renewed my interest in DXing and after working them all mixed, I'm now chasing a PSK-31 LOTW DXCC. You can't beat the price.

Robust program but best if you have someone help start you out Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I was a die-hard DXBase user from the early '90s but, after Jack sold it, no more upgrades since ver. 2007. Joe, WA6AXE, was the Elmer to all of us and kept it going. I switched over to DXLab about five months ago and was total amazed at how robust a program it is, but you can use as little or as much or the various modules (doublt anyone uses all of them) that you want or need. Two clicks and my Q's are uploaded to LoTW; one click to sych QSOs with LoTW: another click to synch LoTW QSLs; and another click to upload Club Logs - couldn't be simplier. It also provides realtime tracking of the Marathon award. I do admit that I had a good friend come over and spend a few hours helping me set it up, but I continue to learn. Great on-line support from users and Dave, AA6YQ, who never sleeps and answers tough questions from anywhere in the world. Did I mention that the entire program is FREE? Glad I made the switch and not ever looking back!

Excellent, it does it all. Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
As a new ham operator, DXLab has provided me with the ability to spot, upload to LoTW and eQSL along with keeping track of my progress. I am still learning and it is certainly a good thing to be able to do this all from one place. The support is outstanding and any question asked is respected and answered quickly. I joined LoTW and eQSL and only had to add my info in the software. This makes my life so much easier. There are many windows and it does so much that it perfectly fits anyone's needs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great Logging package Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
While I have only been using this package full time for less than 6 months, I use it everyday, some days for many hours while on the air..DON'T TELL MY WIFE!! I have started to wrap my head around the basic stuff. I've tried DXL a few times over the years but kept going back to L32, which is another great logging package but I felt like I was missing something and knew DXL had it but I just could not sit down and get it straight in my head. Finally about 6 months I decided to make it work and after a few weeks I was sold 100% on it. There are a few things I wish DXL had that I REALLY liked about DXL but the logging and QSL'ing is the best for me. I will say that I got rid of my (2) 15" monitors and bought a 23" and added a 17" monitor, you need some real estate if you are going to ultilize all the windows and not have them overlap each other. But like most things I use in ham radio, whether I pay or get to use a free product, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE SELLING POINT FOR ME, Dave does a job of responding to questions like no one, and I mean NO ONE in any field out there.. You will not find a better response system than what Dave has created so do not be afraid of DXL. Download it, install it, read the instructions and ask any question and you'll get help. Thanks Dave

Great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use DXLab for many years and for me it is the best!It seems complex for the first look, BUT it is comprehensive Ham soft, so could not be "simple".
Go deep with it and you would be satisfied entirely.
Outstanding support as a "plus"!

Complex & Too Many Windows Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
To get the Maximum use of this program you must use many of the other DX Lab programs. You will end up with many programs running, all with separate windows. If you like lots of windows to keep track off you will love DX Lab. The logger is pretty good but very complex to learn. The programs are well supported and hey it is Free. Personally if I had to have a free logger I would go with HRD which is still free at this time.

My previous Logger was Logic 8. However Logic has gotten greedy and wanted $90 for a Upgrade. Also Logic 8 has almost as many windows to keep track of as DX Lab. Finally after trying all the Logger Demos I bought Commcat. Powerful, easy to use, free updates forever.

Give DX Lab a try - it will cost you nothing but time. You might like it. I did not.

Absolutely the best! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been using the suite for 4 years now and, needless to say, I'm very satisfied with it.
It takes a while to configure all option and to test all its functionalities, expecially if english is not your language, but once you have all properly set, it's unbeatable.
DX'ing is my main interest and these are the features a DXer requires
- Seamless upload and download for LoTW and eQSL with reports advising you if you have just confirmed a new entity or if you have filled a new band/mode slot
- Assembling a submission to DXCC (only paper QSL, only LoTW or both), is just a matter of a couple of mouse clicks
- You instantly know if the station you are working is an all-time new one, or a band/mode new one
- Integrated digital modes interface and plenty of "bridges" to use third party software like JT65-HF, HRD, Fldigi and logging QSO directly in the suite
- Extensive support for many popular awards with a very remarkable statistic tool
- Support for Clublog
- Last but not the least: a great and almost real-time support from the owner and programmer Dave, AA6YQ.

Thanks Dave and keep up with your excellent job!
