Contact point needs more work! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have a plated CT Asia Hand key for a while.
As soon as I received this key, I noticed that the contact point has no silver plated or brass plated. it just a small steel rod under the level arm. I have check the small contact rod surface, it looks like has been sandpaper by #300 coarse sandpaper, very rough surface. This is cause some unpleasant noise unless you press the key very hard. Moreover, the small rod has been used plier to install to the level arm, and left some "tooth" on it. I have tried to contect to seller in UK, no email, no response for this issue at all. If it is for demo or collection, this is a very attractive key, but for the real duty, this key needs some work.

Bad finish, average mechanics Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I am a little bit confused about this key because for operation smoothness and keying precision it deserves a 4: it is quite comfortable and precise in keying, but the feel is not solid, it feels somewhat "cheap" from the mechanic perspective. I mean that when you key it always gives a different mechanical feedback, a clear sign of not exact mechanic feature.
As far as the finish is concerining (I have the all-brass version), in only 1 month the brass start oxydating and developed small spots (brownish, very bad to see) and the black paint on the knob rapidly removed on the top, where the fingers work more, this deserves a 2.
So, in the average, it deserves a 3.
The key is cheap, but I would not recommend it.
In the overall, a good backup for operating QRS when needed, it displays very nicely on the shack, provided that you do not watch it too closely.

Suits me just fine Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Excellent workmanship. A thing of beauty! Looks like it could key up KCBS!
