get the upgrade! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned my AT-11MP tuner for years, but was a bit unimpressed with the performance. Then I installed the upgrade about a month ago, and the difference is like night and day. Much better performance now. Definately worth the twenty-four bucks or so that the upgrade costs.

The only thing that I don't care for now is the fragile toggle switches. I hand-carried it with me to Iraq, and it is a miracle that none of them got broken. Push buttons would be much more appropriate for a tuner that gets packed around a lot, and I suppose that is probably one of the main reasons why this model has been discontinued.

Great tuner Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
It tunes fast and effectively. The size of the tuner is a bit larger than I had pictured in my mind but if that is it's only fault then it is one I can live with. Grab one if you find it out there, they are worth having!

Very good tuner! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Very easy to use autotuner. Pretty much plug-n-play as it should be. Tunes a wide range of antenna configurations. Also has a SWR/wattmeter. This tuner has a radio interface which I did not test because I did not have the cable for it yet.

Flaws with this product:

- Prone to locking up if RF gets into the device. Requires a power cycle to bring it back. Power cycle means disconnecting power for 5 minutes before reapplying power. Be sure to make every effort to prevent RFI and RF entering into your shack.

- No internal balun. Requires an external balun. The MFJ-993B is better in this regard. But I'm a bit skeptical of MFJ's quality and would rather give up an internal balun for a tuner that will be trustworthy.

- Noisy when tuning. When I first used it, I thought it was broken. It makes a ratcheting sound when tuning up.

A Steal.....Great Tuner Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased this tuner with the 1.5v chip for 90.00. I've run several tests on my dipoles and Butternut Vertical (covering 160-10m) and she tunes everything in less than 3 seconds to a perfect 1.1.1.

She is noisy, which I find entertaining. It sounds like you dropped a spoon in a garbage disposal. Yep, kinda loud.

Handling 150w with a nice illuminited cross-needle meter it is a real gem. I might upgrade to the newer processor available through LDG, but for me she's fine as built.

Great Tuner Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I built this tuner from a kit back in 2001 and it was okay... (version 1.4) it would tune most loads just fine.

Today I received the "software" upgrade, version 1.6 and now it's a fantastic tuner! For the price of the upgrade (about $35 with shipping) it's like having a new tuner. Head and shoulders better than the old version.

Before the upgrade it didn't have any memories and would go through the whole racket of tuning every time I changed bands. Now with the memories it only clicks a couple times and it's tuned! Now it tunes bands that it couldn't before (they must have really improved the tuning process), and the meter seems to be a bit more accurate.

With the 1.6 upgrade it really is a super tuner.

Excellent factory support! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently bought an AT-11 tuner on eBay. This was a kit tuner which has been out of production for years. Because of careless packing, the tuner arrived with the power switch broken. This is a PC-board-mounted switch, and I anticipated problems finding an exact replacement. A phone call to LDG, and a week later two replacement switches arrived in the mail. Total charge: $0.00.
This is sure a pleasant contrast to the other manufacturers I've dealt with recently. Kenwood charged $20 to ship a power switch to replace one that failed in service, and TenTec continues to make money with 'rebuild kits' for their PTO design disaster. BTW, the LDG AT-11 tuner works extremely well, and has been taking care of things here for the past month or so. The next tuner I buy will be an LDG product.

Great but noisy tuner Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased my LDG AT-11MP used and it had performed as expected. It tunes every band except 60 meters for some reason? Everything else works like a champ. I did not expect the amount of noise it generates in the tune mod, but as fast as it tunes I can sure live with it. I replaced my Dentron Super Tuner with it and I am not going back for any reason. I may spring for the high power version after having such fun with this one! A real keeper!

Excellent Automatic Tuner Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought a secondhand unit on eHam with thoughts of converting it to remote use. Had major storm damage to my antenna farm and static zapped my KPA100 sensing circuit, in turn my KAT100 was no longer happy (until I was able to finish repairs, then all was well). Unfortunately there was several DXpeditions that were must haves (YV0D in particular). What to do? I pressed the LDG into service. First off, I love the meter, LEDs are fine but somethings are better understood on a meter. The unit tuned everything I put it's way: 40M half square (on 30 to 10M), 30' pipe on 80, 40 and 30, later a 70' vertical on 160, 80, 40 and 30M. Impressive and effective, as I did land YV0D on 40M & 30M with 100W. I've used some MFJ manual tuners with the same antennas and couldn't get a match (usually on 160 or 80). I don't think the unit is any noisier than the KAT100 and it's fast. Now if it would just talk with the K2 on band in use... I'll be keeping this unit.

Great tuner but!!! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The tuner is great, noisey but who cares for that couple of seconds. But I just received the update and emailed them back on if I would be credited for the difference. Email back from LDG stated no credit and ALSO would not be able to receive any further updates if NOT RETURNED!! Is this how you run a business when you have a great product. The tuner is still a five but customer dis-service is a 0.

Great tuners Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I've had nothing but great experience with LDG tuners. But I do have to agree with the issue presented below. Seems they're charging $15 for the mailer and the return postage for a chip. $5-$6 seems more reasonable.
