Excellent Antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The TA-33 does require occasional maintenance - the traps need to be checked. After a decade or more in place, we found ours were full of cobwebs and dead spiders. Cleaning the traps out made a big difference in performance. We also had a problem with the the attachment point for the driven element, but this was easily repaired.

Otherwise, this was a great antenna for many years. It was replaced with a KT-34, which was a superior antenna, but much more expensive and much harder to assemble.

Very Satisfied Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My Classic 33 is also 30 plus years old and is still in fine condition and works great. I believe I am the 3rd or 4th owner. The only thing I have done to it is replace the sheet metal screws that hold the elements together. During the ARRL International DX contest (SSB) I worked 66 countries running 5W QRP. The only reason I would replace it would be to get coverage of 17 and 12M. This antenna is very rugged and could very well last a lifetime.

Takes Harsh WX Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I am really, really surprised to see the Venerable old Mosley Classic has not been reviewed yet.It Takes a Beating and Keeps on Ticking. By the neighbours Lombardy Popular Trees in a windstorm. I will do the honors of being the first Classic 33 reviewer. I am a very happy owner of an approximately 30 year old Classic 33. The first 10 years It spent on a tower in a Salt Air enviroment in Saltair, B.C. I just got the great old antenna back on my tower with new coax a cleaning and repairing a bent element and trap. It works like a new antenna again. There are several Classic 33's just in my hometown of 77k this must be one of the most popular all time antennas and it is a great one. If you get a chance to pick up a Classic or splurge and buy a brand new one you won't be dissappointed. They are one of Mosley's Best
