Quick Turnaround Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Sent my T-8A tri-band HT in to have the antenna jack replaced. After 7 years, it finally wore out. Anyways, they turned it around in two weeks, and the charges were exactly as they specified. They said what they were going to do, then they did what they said.

My only complaint would be that they have a minimum labor charge of one hour ($84) plus parts. Kinda pricey, but then again I didn't have to do it myself, and it was done right by someone who knows how. This was the facility in Bellevue, WA that I am talking about.

All in all, they did the work right, and the radio came back working like a new one.

good turn around time, horrible service Time Owned: N.A.
I sent in my ICt90A a few weeks ago for repair, for a 2 year old radio to cost about $30 not including shipping, more than it costs new for repair is a complete joke. It wasn't even a big problem. I guess I'll not bother sending any more HT's in for repair, not Icom anyway. I have 1 Icom HT left and that might be my last, I hope I never have a problem with it.

Quick Turnaround, Reasonable Price Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I droppped my R 8500 receiver and sent it to Icom for replacement of a broken rotary selector switch and front panel LED's.

I shipped it March 24th and received a repair estimate via email on April 5th. I faxed my approval and credit card info to them the following morning and was notified via email that it had been shipped later that same day.

Total turnaround time, including door to door ground shipping between AR and WA, was 13 business days.

The repair costs were slightly less than estimated and reasonable, given the repairs that had to be performed.

The guys have their act together as far as I'm concerned.

GREAT SERVICE !!!!!!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been an electronics technician for over 50 years - I am very impressed with the service from Icom America in South Carolina. I mailed my Icom 706MIIG on March 20th and received it on March 30th. Quite a fast turn-around, considering four or five days were shipping and two were the weekend. The cost of the repair was VERY REASONABLE - the service description was detailed. I called on the 29th checking on status and was informed the radio was mailed the day before. The tech was very couteous and took the time to give me details over the phone about the repair, cost and was willing to answer any questions. For the tech to take that much time on the phone is impressive. I cannot say enough about their service - again, I was very impressed. You won't go wrong having Icom America service your equipment. GREAT JOB, GUYS, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!1

IC-901A Repair at Bellvue, WA Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I sent my 16-year old ICOM IC-901A multi-bander in to ICOM (Bellvue)for repair of 'no transmit' in 2M or 440 (I don't have any other modules). (No power out when PTT keyed). They took my old radio, checked it and replaced all the rf power amps and returned it to me within 3 weeks of sending it in. I got it back, re-installed it and was back up on the air w/QSOs as a Happy Camper. The cost of repairs...only $91.80 - including shipping! Needless to say, I'm well satisfied with their service. BTW, I had excellent internet e-mail comms with their service rep - rapid and professional responses. I rate 'em a 5 on the scale for professionalism, communication and quality service, including return packing and shipping. Now I know why I've been a happy ICOM user since my first IC-2AT and IC-2SAT back in early 80s.

Positively the best turnaround Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My 756Pro stopped transmitting. Rarely ran it over 38 watts, Alpha 99. Sent it to Icom in Wa., they received it on Monday last week and got home tonight............ a week and 2days later from their receipt of my rig.... it was back..WOW.. doesnt get any better than that... the problem, a Blown Tx drive YGR amp on RF unit... they also installed the latest ESD mod to RF unit. Guys, the rig was one month out of warranty.. NO CHARGE and they shipped back at their expense.. THANKS ICOM now I know why I continue to purchase your products.

ICOM SERVICE LIKE THEIR RIGS AN EMBARRASSMENT Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Almost a year to this date, sent an IC703, in warranty, to Icom for service. This has been the case with every Icom radio I have owned going back into the seventies, except one.

The radio is sitting on the bench waiting for service again, you guessed it, same exact problem, distorted receive audio. No more Icom radios or Icom service for me.

My Icom PRO3 experienced an intermittant on the transmitting side. Icom notified me promptly upon receiving the rig and fixed the problem well within the time they stated. I am very satisfied with the Icom America repair group.

OVERALL GOOD! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Paul and Mary are nice people.

The final transistors had to come from Japan which caused a 3 week delay in the warranty repair that is the only reason they get a 4.

Thanks for the gifts.
