Review Summary For : N4VAS Icom PC Interface
Reviews: 47MSRP: 30.00 shipped (US)
Description:
A copy of the Icom CI-V. This is an external interface that easily disconnects so you can switch serial devices without having to get in back of your PC. It works on most newer Icom rigs (VHF/HF/UHF) and with most 3rd party as well as Icom's software. Very nefty and cheap too.
Product is in production

Bargain Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I couldn't find fault with it if I wanted to - it was shipped quickly, works flawlessly and there wasn't much to setting it up with my 756 Pro II.

Makes you wonder why ICOM charges so much for the CT-11

great device! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Newton makes a really nice device that replaces the Icom C-IV interface. And its a 1/4 of the price. It worked perfectly with my IC746 and N3FJP logging software.

Fabulous Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I'm not a very computer knowledgeable person. The hams I hang out with often refer to me as an appliance operator. And they're correct. I wanted to get Newton's interface to utilize with Win EQF and Writelog which I use for routine logging and contesting logging (I'm a CW op) respectively. I sort of suspected that I might have some difficulty getting it hooked up and working...I was correct. I've just never been able to do much when it comes to computers except turn them on and use the programs already installed. I read one of the previous summaries in which the gentleman commented that it took longer to get from the mail box to the shack than it did to get the interface working. I thought, well, maybe there is hope for me. So, I ordered it. When it arrived I went to the Shack and purchased the cables. The interface didn't work. I emailed Newton, not really knowing whether I'd get help or not. He promptly responded with recommendations. He ended up sending me about half a dozen emails and even included his phone number. He never gave up on helping me get the interface to work. When it finally did work, I'm not really sure what correct action I took. For anyone that is contemplating purchasing Newton's product, I highly recommend doing so. It works like a charm. And the best part about it was Newton's support and patience.

Works Great with IC-756pro Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought the controller via an Ebay Auction. Received the controller very quickly. Works perfect right out of the box with my IC-756pro and Writelog.

Works great & great price Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Straightforward serial port-powered plug-n-play functionality in a compact case. Instead of the typical cable shell style interface with a poorly anchored cable, this unit is has standard 1/8" mini and DB-9 RS232c box-mounted jacks. If a cable ever goes bad or longer length is needed, it's simple to change. This unit is far more rugged than the MFJ-made equivelent, and far less expensive than the Icom CT-17, but does the exact same job perfectly. A great value and highly recommended.

Great design and Price! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Newton's excellent interface has enabled my logging program to control my Icom 756 Pro II, at a tenth of the price I would have had to pay for the ICOM equivalent!

Need I say more?

Highly recommended.
