So far so good Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have been able to avoid the use of baluns with my 44 and 88 foot ladder line fed doublets, but since I switched to the new LDG AT-1000 autotuner, I have found that I had to add a balun (where I normally would have used a 1:1 current choke - right where the ladder line meets the coax).

I have been running 500 watts into one of these in a number of pileups (trying to get TZ6RD for hours), and I have not noticed any heating or saturation. It seems to work well with the AT-1000.

I will mount this better than where it is now (lying on the ground), and I will put it on a post with a plastic shroud to keep it from getting wet.

I will update this review after the winter rains!
