Very useful for new and not so new operators . Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Overall these are good but have your reading glasses handy.Although not advertised as being water proofed the edges allow the ingress of moister and blur the print
A suggestion for the manufacturer if at all possible seal off the edges following the laminating/trimming process.

Very useful for new operators Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My club bought an IC-7000 (a very "menu-oriented" rig), and we want to use it for Field Day. That means untrained operators will be using it.

I own an IC-706, and it wasn't easy for _me_ to navigate the IC-7000, using the factory manual.

The "Nifty Manual" is concise, and task-oriented, and reasonably complete. Somebody who knows how to work _any_ HF rig can sit down with it, follow the instructions, and be "up and running" with the IC-7000 without any hair-tearing. [If you don't know how to work an HF rig, this guide won't help much.]

It's 20 pages of small print -- no graphics, and not much commentary. But it covers most things that most people will want to do with the rig. And the plastic-coasted pages, and spiral binding, should give it a long life next to the rig.

Not Very Helpful Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Maybe it's just me, but the two guides I purchased aren't any more helpful than the original manuals, just much smaller. I almost need a magnifying lens to read the guide for my Yaesu HT. The guide for my Icom HF doesn't help at all. I wasted my money on these items. Don't bother, just read your original instruction manual.

Great product for sure... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
With so many menu driven features these days, one can't always remember it all. That's where these become a must.. Great product to keep on hand.

Great Guide and Service! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My original order of a K2 guide got lost in the mail (i.e., didn't arrive) and upon contacting Cheryl, she instantly sent me another - Great Service!! The K2 guide has exactly what I was hoping it would - excellent coverage of the filters (Crystal, KAF2 & DSP), and all of the various DSP options - Great Guide!!

Got me up and running quickly with a new radio! Great product! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought a Kenwood TS-480, and ordered the Nifty Mini-Manual along with it. Upon unboxing the radio I browsed through the Kenwood manual, then turned my attention to the Nifty manual - much better. Whereas the Kenwood manual told the name and function of each button and menu selection, the Nifty manual was much more succinct and actually told how to use the buttons and menu selections to optimize the radio.

Highly recommended. I went to their web site and ordered additional items.

Wow - must have accessory! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have the quick guide for the Yeasu FT-1500M. The guide summarizes approximately 90% of the FT-1500's manual in a very logical and concise format. The reference card is just the right size to flip in the glovebox unfolded for extremely fast reference. I've only had to crack the factory manual twice. Bernie has done a great job on these reference cards and the time and frustration saved make these well worth their price.

New and Improved!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bernie (the owner) appartently read my earlier review about the Ft-8800 guide noting that problems and corrections section was missing accidental WIRES/ INTernet activation.

He researched it and updated the guide. That says alot of the customer feedback and quality improvement!!!

Overall OK product...Seems like its made out of strong material..

However the FT-8800 Manual is missing one of the most common operating problems "accidental WIRES activation"!!!!

For the price, it should been a more detailed manual....

Just plain, well...NIFTY! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Excerpts of an e-mail sent to the owner of Nifty:

What a difference your Quick Reference card is for me in operating the Icom IC-2100! I put away that dam manual! Your card was SO much easier to understand than the manual.

I thought maybe you just re-wrote the steps found in the manuals. But it's evident to me you have gone to great lengths to investigate the actual programming procedure for each rig, and try and communicate it in writing as simply as possible.

Hats off for a unique product! This reminds me. I need to go to Eham.net and give you a 5/5 for the product.

(And for you CHEAP hams who complain about a product you pay less for than 3 gallons of gasoline, a pox on your micro-processors!)
