v.2.0 is a great upgrade Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I hate to gush after two days of experience with this software, but the version 2.0 upgrade on Digipan really is a significant improvement. All the basic functionality is the same, and the software installs and operates the first time without problems.

What is new (among other things) is the multi-channel text display. The program marks all the PSK 31 signals on the waterfall and assigns each to a one-line text display on the right hand side of the screen. You can select any one of them, and that signal will begin to decode in the main area of the screen (on the left). The cursor in the waterfall will center on that signal and you are ready to transmit. But, here's the great part. You can set up pre-arranged texts (such as CQ or CQ DX) and that line of the multi-channel display will be highlighted with a colored background. So, you can see immediately who is calling CQ. If you click on that signal, and move it to the main display area, then you can click on the call sign in the text and it will be automatically entered into "Call" box and into all of your macros. This gives you the ability to locate and pounce on a signal quickly. I had a great time this afternoon on 15 meters working many European stations with 8 watts, grabbing them up before more powerful stations could take them away from me. Then when you get into the QSO, you can turn off the multi-channel display and it looks like earlier versions of Digipan.

The best part of this, of course, is the price -- it's free. Thanks to KH6TY, UT2UZ, and UU9JDR for this fine gift to the amateur community.

Digipan 2.0 : AWESOME Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Digipan 2.0 (the 10/26/2004 release) is THE best PSK-31 program I've experimented with. Not only can it decode MULTIPLE signals all at the same time (which was shocking, since when I tested it first, 10 meters was wide open...and 2.0 copied 5+ QSOs that were going on), but the ADIF-compatible logger makes uploading to eQSL.cc a pleasure. Work 10, 20, 100 QSOs....save them to a .TXT file, upload them to eQSL...done. It doesn't get much better!
Also, Digipan is capable of PSK-63, Pactor, and some of the lesser used digimodes.

To sum it up in one word: Amazing

Good program Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I migrated to Digipan from Hamscope. I converted mainly because Digipan works ith my ProLog2K logging program. I like some features about Hamscope better, but the autolog feature is superb.

Got me on PSK Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Simple program to set up and use. My first PSK program, and still the best performing ones that I have tried. You can pretty much figure this one out yourself without any manual or help file. If you want to get on PSK, give this a try, plus it is free!!

Exceptional program Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This program is an example of truely great software.
It combines all of necessary capabilities for operating PSK31 including a simple logging capability and has a clean simplistic layout that gets the job done without being overly cumbersome to use. It is truely elegant in its simplicity and IMHO outperforms most of the other programs in its ability to decode PSK31 signals.

I have tried most of the other PSK31-capable programs available but I always come back to Digipan.
This was the first PSK31 program to incorporate full spectrum waterfall point and click tuning and I think that the introduction of this concept into PSK31 software was instrumental in winning people over to the merits of this amazing mode, and helped to fuel its rapid growth.
