AWFUL GOOD! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Installed as a half wave sloper from the top of 55' tower. SWR is 1.3:1 in the CW band, my favorite. With TS-480SAT at 100 watts, worked South Africa ZS1JX on 7.002MHz. I have a supporting dacron rope running parallel with the antenna to take all tension off the coax element.

Will be putting up the 80m Double Bazooka as inverted as soon as the backyard dries out.

Poor Quality Material Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I purchased this antenna a year or so ago installed it and in use for about 3 months now. It run ok for a while as long as I run only 100 Watts through it. Then I put the AMP on it with about 800 Watts and from that point on it got flaky and finally quit. I took it down and dismantled it with to find excessive moisture and corrosion of the aluminum coax shield used as the radiator. It looked all RF burned and corroded like a battery terminal so I cleaned it and put it back with some success. It would have been a much better antenna with a different type of coax. The coax is a very cheap CATV type with an aluminum center conductor and shield. NO copper at all. Very cheaply made. Do not recommend it to anyone. I wish I had read the reviews first before purchasing. I now see another vendor that makes them that has very high reviews. I will go with that one next time.

worked for 2 days Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
It took me 4 weeks to receive the 40 meter double bazooka and would have never have gotten it then with emailing a reminder as they seemed to have forgotten. When I did get it, put it up and it worked great the weekend of the New England QP, 7 land QP, and IN QP, low noise, about 1 1/2 S units less noise than my wire 40m dipole and also was able to work a station with no more than 2 calls in a pileup. Finished operating the contest Sunday and did not attempt to transmit again until Wenesday morning (Note it rained on and off for 2 days here in South West VA) Heard a station and sent my call and the SWR was through the roof. I will tear it apart and attempt to locate and fix the problem, but after a 4 week wait and 2 days worth of useage I will give this product a poor rating . As a side note I was was using a amp with this antenna about 600 watts plus/minus I DO NOT plan on buying another Radiowavz product

poor Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
bought this antenna and i made one contact with the help of my friend.we hung the thing from a 40 foot tower and it worked once...than it just stooped. fought the thing for 3 weeks and finally called customer service they said if there was any problem to fix the antenna myself. found out i had to redo all the solder joints and have not put it back up i am using a windom now and love it. this antenna was suppose to cover 80-10M

Antenna Smokes! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have been running the 40 Meter Double Bazooka for 2 weeks now with no mercy on high power (1000 watts+) with no ill effects, the antenna blows everything I have used out of the water. The noise is down 2-3 s-units, and transmit up 2 s-units from a conventional 40 meter 1/2 wave dipole at 60'!!!
What more could you want??

I am going to try a 75 meter double bazooka with a 150 watt carrier modulating it to 1,000 watts.. If it works well I will put one on 160 meter duty as well.

This antenna works great and if I experience anything negative the post goes here... I could not be happier with the wide bandwidth as well.

Hats off to a job well done in my book!

Works Great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
No pblms here, running 600 to 800 watts every morning on several diffrent nets from Fort Lauderdale Fla.. This is my second one. The first one is over two years old located at my log home in western south carolina and running 1 KW plus up there. It has survived trees, ice ,snow and critters it takes a lickin and it's still a tickin....

Works for me! Time Owned: N.A.
Have any of the unsatified folk here ever called Radiowavz to resolve a problem? Time will tell how the elements treat this antenna but it's a killer. No problems except for trimming the tuning studs. Takes a few tries. In the mean time i get quieter operation and stronger signals on receive. And the transmit experience is even better. Full power and no smoke. Eveyone i talk to on a regular basis agrees my signal is stronger and readable even when the band is muffling eveyone else.
My Radiowavz 80 meter DB so out performs my inverted "V" at the same height it's almost comical. Worked France from Pittsburgh in broad daylight. GIVE THIS PRODUCT A CHANCE.

Not Really "Full Legal Limit" Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
As much as I like this antenna, the score is much lower due to the misleading statement on the front of the package. It says, "Will handle Full legal limit."

This is simply not true. I called Radio Waves and sure enough, they tell me to only run 200 watts on CW. This is not "Full Legal Limit" and they should change all of their marketing materials to state such.

As far as performance, I am very happy overall. Luckily, I do not need more than 200 watts to make most contacts and the antenna does hear very well.

If it really handled "Full Legal Limit" as advertised, I would give it a 5/5. The sad part is that I really wanted something that could handle the power, if necessary, and this antenna does not.

Happy New Year to all...
