Great antennas! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the EF-20H and EF-40. Since these antennas are end fed, and can be run with one end sloped to the ground, they are very easy to put up and nearly invisible in restricted neighborhoods like mine. I put the antennas up using string attached to a lead fishing weight thrown over a tree branch. The matchbox and coax connection are about 6' off the ground, and the small diameter coated wire antenna slopes up to the branch. Performance is excellent - my first contact on 20 USB was in a pileup to a station in the Canary Islands with 100 watts from FL. The most surprising thing was the small shipping size and weight of these antennas - very easy to pack and take on a trip.

Great antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have the EF-40 and EF-20H. Very easy to tune up which took all of 10 minutes. I have made several CW contacts with the antenna which can be configured in several different ways which is a plus because I have to be creative to avoid the antenna Nazi's (HOA) where I live. I will not use any other wire antenna, you can't beat it.

Great for home or /p Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had the EF 20, 30, and 40 here at the house in a very limited space with restrictions, not only are they stealthy, but perform so well. Also have a 20 and a 40 for portable with my 703, and they are so quick to put up with a Jackite pole and light enough not to excessively bend the pole, into either an inverted L or V shape. Great stuff. Easy to have several on hand in a small bag and light enough to carry about anywhere. Dale is also outstanding in service and response. I think the moderator ought to remove the "0" rating, I can only think that it was done by mistake somehow - I can't imagine one to rate these at that level.

EF-40 Review Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Firstly, Dale produces an excellent product with brilliant service. I'm a new HAM with a General license. I live in a condo with antenna restrictions. I bought the EF-40 for portable use but have been struggling with many home brew dipoles to work HF (40m). Out of desperation to get on the air and work 40m I strung up the EF-40 inside the condo from one end to the other...never expecting it to work...IT DID! For the first time since gaining my General license I was able to make use of 40m with multiple contacts across several states and into Canada.
Thanks Dale, you have been key in getting my HF experience off the ground.

Great Portable Antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought an EF20,30,40 for portable use and these things work great. No tuning needed it was ready to go. I use a Jackite 31FT telescoping mast and I ca n be up and operating in under 3 minutes. For a portable setup these guys can't be beat. Dale Par was always quick to get back to any questions I had. The other day when I put the ef20 up I was answered by a JA3 on the first call. I hope he has a 80 meter version out soon...

EF-20 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Used the EF-20 during the CQWW DX SSB 2009 contest. Assembled the wire on a 30ft fishing pole and then mounted on the top of a 15ft pole to get the whole thing off the ground. Also ran 2x1/4 wave counterpoise wires at 115 degrees ungrounded. With 100 watts worked 900 stations, 30 zones and 95 countries. This antenna is nothing short of amazing. For portable operations, it can't be beat.

EF-40 Review Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
After reading all the excellent reports on the PAR antennas, I decided to try out the EF-40. Easy to tune and very forgiving in regard to installation, the performance when compared to my existing commercially made broadband antenna is like ‘night and day’. This antenna seems quieter (background noise) on receive and when I tuned around, I was amazed at to the activity on the band. I know my old broadband antenna offered the convenience of 4-30MHz but the compromise in performance (I know now) was significant. It is a great product and the customer service received from Dale was exceptional.

EF-40 an excellent antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My QTH required an end fed antenna, and I was delighted to find Par Electronics and their end fed half wave antennas. The installation was quick and easy, and I was able to get on the air with no problems at all.It has lived up to my high hopes for it. Making contacts has been easy, and I get 5-9 signal reports consistently.

I have the antenna in less than ideal circumstances. One end is about 12 feet off the ground and the other is about 20 feet. Even in these close to the ground conditions I am able to make plenty of contacts.

The customer service at Par Electronics is extraordinary. I was able to get my questions answered in a very prompt way. They value their customers

If you are looking for an end fed half wave antenna you need look no further than Par Electronics.

Review of EF-40 Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased and installed an EF-40 antenna between two trees (13-15 feet above ground) in my back yard. The antenna was easy to install with the hangers provided and is stealthy in appearance. I transmit at 100 watts. I get good voice and signal strength reports from my northcentral location in the USA. I purchased the EF 40 antenna to work the states around my
location. I am very happy with this antenna.
