Outstanding Performance Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just finished installing the 40 Meter End-Fed today. It's in a sloper configuration up a tree about 60 feet on the high end and about 7 feet on the end-fed side. I didn't do any trimming, just hooked up a piece of coax to my antenna analyzer and SWR was 1.2 - 1 for the digital part (7.0386 mhz) of the band. I fired up the WSPR 2.11 tranmitting 5 watts. On the first look at receive reports from stations hearing me I was amazed! I was heard throughout Europe (DK,EI,G3,LA,OK,OZ,PA,SV,4X)on just 5 watts! I also noticed I was heard down under in VK land! It's a keeper! Lets see how well it holds up to the elements....

Incredible performer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased a few of these for QRP about two years ago. In the past 2 years, I never took them out of the box. Today, I took my 8 year old daughter to the driveway, setup a 21' mast on a tripod with the EF-15 on top. Sloped the antenna to a bush in the front of the house, hooked up the FT-817ND while holding it in the palm of my hand and heard spain calling CQ on 15M. I made one call and "boom", contact made with 58 sig report. Next, heard Germany calling CQ, put out one call and "bam", 59 report from Germany with disbelief.

My daughter and I stood in shock as to both the band conditions and the two contacts made in 5 minutes with 3W!!

I have been running everything under the sun over the last 20 years. These two contacts were some of the most fun/impressive I have had in a long time.

Great antenna. Simple setup...perfect in every way.

Bought 5 pcs (one destroyed by QRO) Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My inventory is EF-20, EF-30 and EF-40, some I have two! Works fantastic. Right now I have EF-20 and EF-30 on the condo roof, about 3-5 ft over a row of air conditioners. Qth Palm Beach, FL. I can work almost anything I can hear, lots of Europe, some Africa, South America, it is amazing. Rig IC756P3, 40 W, PSK-modes only.
It is so simple and really gets out!

Used for over 2 years. A terrific wire dipole. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Have used the 6, 17, 20 & 40m LNR End-Fed half-wave dipole. I have gotten terrific results.

I have used the 40, 20, 17 & 6 meter End-Fed Half wave dipole. Simple & the best. QTH is in Las Vegas, NV. 22' up. I get great reports on 20 from the East Coast (Ft. Bragg, NC) last night.

Exactly what it says on the tin . . . Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
It's a dipole. And you feed it from the end.

Hung my 20 meter version up at 25 feet, horizontally. It performed . . . like a 20 meter dipole at 25 feet. Oh, and I fed it from the end.

Seriously, it's no miracle antenna, but it does what it says it does, and works about as well as any other dipole. Seems well made, and easy enough to tune if you follow directions.

Outstanding Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Got the 40/20, set it up about 10 feet at the match box end and about 20 or so feet at far end, no trimming, good swr curve on both bands. For local nets here in Hawaii about 10 over 9 on 40m, Got into MO, route 66 station the other night on 20m at about 5 over 9. Great antenna, looks like I'm going to buy more to put in my go kit.

Still Cooking! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I purchased an EF-80 about a year and a half ago when they first came out. (I own three of these antennas now; 20, 40, and 80 meters) and I am still well pleased! I use them all the time during business trips operating, "Hotel Portable" and I have almost as much fun deploying them without getting caught (not always successful) as playing radio.

This summer I was up in Rainer Nat'l Park, totally surrounded by mountain peaks, tent camping with my wife. I was told that that area was a real "black hole" and not to be disappointed if I wasn't able to make any contacts. I threw my wire up in what I can only call a stealthy, "twisted inverted L/ sloper" configuration to fit the very small footprint of our designated campsite (and between orbits of the nosy park ranger). A 75 meter wire is a lot of wire for tent site! Even with only a 100 watts on battery power, I was able to make all of my usual regional nets and lots of QSOs, making tent camping fun again! 73' Rue - W7RUE

I travel alot and I am always looking for new antennas to expand my ham experience. When I am in a hotel or in the field, one of these antennas goes with me. Whether I am using a QRP rig or I am on one of my barefoot rigs, one of these End-Fedz are in my travel kit because they work!

I have owned three of them so far. One time I ordered a 20 meter 300 watt model and asked that Larry try to get it to me before I left on a business trip. He busted his hump to get me one on time but he sent me the wrong one; a 100 watt version. I called him about it; he apologized and sent me the correct one. It worked out OK because I was operating QRP that trip.

When I got back, the 300 watt model was awaiting me. I asked Larry how he wanted me to send the wrong one back. He told me to keep it and pass it on to another Ham who could use it, which I did! I sent it to my aging father who had not had the ability to work 20 meters in many years. (Shame on me! I should have taken better care of him!)

At first, I was skeptical about these antennas, but every time I called or e-mailed Larry with a question, he promptly got right back to me! What a gentleman! They have my business for life! I am waiting on an 80 meter version which I hear is in development. I can't wait to put my order in! '73 Rue - W7Rue

Nice for portable Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use one of these antennas when I operate portable from the parks. Never had any problem with it and it is constructed with high quality. It has been strung up and taken down hundreds of times by now and it still works fine without any significant wear. If it works successfully in the environment I use it in, I can't imagine why it would not be great in a fixed situation.

My 80m LNR works great Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Sorry to copy you had trouble with the LNR 75m . I used mine in the RD Contest qrp 5 watts ssb and cw and had lots of qso's. Tuning it was not an issue even down on 3.5 mhz i had to snip it a couple times only an inch or so. My feed point was 3m up to about 8m in middle them the end was about 5m tied off to a tree. i'd be more suspicious of the coax run than the antenna BUT you never know there may have been a crook one.
I wonder how the person you sold it to got on did they get it to work !! 73 de Ian vk5cz..

I had my antenna 1 hour out the box and up a tree . Made a couple snips to the 40m radiator and got good swr at bottom of 40m and 45 ohms at 1.2.1 on 20m stub. Worked vk4drx on 40m cw with my old ic 703 at 5 watts about 1400 km away rst 578. First ssb qso still on 5 watt setting about 200 km to vk5hs rs 5/7 . No qso on 20m run out of time. Antenna was horizontal between two trees 8m high with 10m of rg8 coax droping straight to ground from the magic box. iam impressed de vk5cz ian in clare sa.

75 meter bust Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I tried using the LNR for 75 meters and I could not get it to work, at all. I called to get a refund and was told that I would not get one because it was used! Yes, it was unfolded when I tried to get it to work. Fortunately, I was able to sell it, unused and I didn't lose all my money. I would never buy anything from this company. I would suggest that an end-fed be purchased on E-bay to see if you would like such an antenna in the fist place. If you must have an end-fed, check out the Alpha J-pole 6-160, it is probably something that makes sense. All the LNR reviews must be made up.
