EF-40/20 the only antenna you need Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The end fed design is ideal for my small city QTH, easy to install with clear instructions, simple to tune. Works so well that what I thought would be a short-term solution became my permanent 40m antenna. Very well constructed, I expect it to last a long time.

6 m antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought a PAR 6 m antenna before LNR bought the former company. It works very well, I would NOT pay the price of the new antennas as they can be easily made for about half or less money. I dont know how they can justify doubling the price immediately after purchasing. A piece of wire and a torroid. Thats it.

I purchased a 6m ef from the internet. I am getting excellent reports even at 5w. It is hanging vert. from a low tree limb and I can talk 35 miles. My only complaint is the price. IMHO Larry would sell xxx times more if the price was reduced somewhat. For people on a fixed income (me), $70.00 is a lot of $$$ for a single band antenna. The product is of fine quality and works exceptionally well, but I will have to find another at a hamfest or the internet.

EF-40/20 - It just works! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought the EF-40/20. There are no tall trees here so I have mine mounted as a sloper off a 20 ft PVC mast with 75 ft of DXE-400MAX coax connected to matchbox 5 ft off the ground. Not exactly the optimum position but thought I'd give it a try. Tuning took a bit longer than it should have because instead of come from the factory 66' 6" long it was 68 ft and I didn't measure it first. Tuning is easy though and set 40m low SWR for phone but wrapped some of the wire back on to itself instead of cutting it all off so I can retune for CW later. Connected it to my IC-756Pro II and was amazed with QSO's in Europe, Cuba, deep South America and all over North America. Wish it had 10m too but wanted 100 watt version. Going to try it on a taller mast soon but it works well where it's at. It doesn't get any easier than this!

Good product and support Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have the LNR Precision model EF 20/40 and I must say that I am very impressed with this antenna. The production quality is top notch and the antenna is easy to deploy. The instructions are well written and tuning was a snap. Now I can work qrp without a tuner. On my first trip out I made several contacts on both bands running 4 watts with my Ten Tec qrp rig. This is a great simple antenna.

EF-80 Super Star Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I was so pleased that LNR added a End Fed 80 meter antenna to their product line. I took mine out to the park, fired a line over a tree and secured the low end. I had a ball working 80 meters between Chilliwack BC and Ontario.
Yes it's a long antenna but it is the answer to an emergency / field day antenna.

I tested out my EF-80 today in the park. Had the high end at 55 Feet and the low end at 12 Feet.
I adjusted it using a MFJ-259 to be tuned at 3,730.
Instead if cutting off the 12 feet of excess wire I pulled it through the insulator and coiled it up tight. It did not effect the antenna at all. That way if I chose to work CW I just uncoil and pull the wire back through. I recieved S-9 plus 20 signals during a HF Net that works BC - Ontario. I could hear most of the stations and they all heard me. This is my second Par End Fedz I love to use them portable hanging as a sloper from a tree.

Don't let anyone tell you that a halfwave end fed antenna won't work. It is a dipole fed from the end. They work and I would highly recommend them.

a must for a HF go kit! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was in Coleman, OK (EM14si) and strung it up between two trees and started working all over the americas and the western pacific that night. for sure I was making it into Japan, New Caledonia, and the Kamkatcha Penninsula. NO TUNER REQUIRED! I say that this was the best $60 I have ever spent on a wire antenna. I plan on buying more in the future and may even use it at field day!

Very Good Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I ordered a Par End Fedz for the 40m band and on the whole I have been very happy with it.
Living in a built up area here in the uk,I have to use antennas that have a low visual impact. This antenna does this very well as you have to look hard to notice it.
I have the feed end at 12ft from the ground sloping upwards to the roof of my house at 30ft. I used an antenna analyser to tune the antenna which was a simple process, and the results have been good.
My only slight gripe is that it is quite noisy compared with my other end fed wires from Gwhip.
On the whole though, very good

EF-20 Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Put the EF-20 up as a sloper with the top end up about 35 feet and the bottom six feet off the ground. Worked a 9A right off the bat, on first call in a pile-up with a 5/9+ report! This was followed by eight different European countries, ending with European Russia. All gave great signal reports and most were worked on the first call.
Needless to say, I'm taking this neat antenna and my IC-706MKIIG with me when i go on vacation.

great results Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Well, I have to say that in my comparisons on the air to the antenna I had before for 17 meters, this one is 4-5 S units better. Nothing to sneeze at! I put it up on the roof of my NYC apartment building at 100 feet - a decent installation. And could only compare it to the DX EE which I had to tune for 17 meters. But all of a sudden the receiver of my FT 950 is lively and dynamic. I wish I was able to compare it to my Cushcraft MA5VA but that came down to make room for this. All I can say is that the receiver has totally come alive and I'm in the hunt along with some so called 'big guns' - kind of!

Best you can get for Portable!!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just used the EF-20 (20m) version for portable and QRP work. It didn't matter what configuration I put the antenna it... it simply worked and worked very well. I made CW contacts on 5 watts all the way up to 50 watts, and SSB contacts on 100 watts. If I could hear them, I could work them with this antenna. I will be looking to compliment the 20m version with a 17m and 15m for sure!
