Superb in every way Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Highly recommend the TH11DX; i retired my TH7DX as it was 40 years old but as i was so pleased with its performance and longevity i purchased another Hy-Gain antenna; the TH11DX.
I did question the design and was anxious over how well it may perform on the 10/12m bands.
However the performance on all 5 bands is tremendous when compared with other local hams running large multi-band yagis.

I feel the performance is better than my TH7 on 10/15m and equally as good on 20m, but with the addition of 17/12m on the same size boom as my TH7DX i am highly delighted with it on all 5 bands.

SWR is 1:1 with distinct resonance offering me reassurance of great design on every band.

As such i would not hesitate to recommend this antenna as a class leader in the less the 30ft boom, hf multi-band Yagi league.

Good dx to all

Great, held up very well Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Very long term follow up March 23, been many years now and the antenna has held up incredibly well mechanically and operationally. I would comfortably recommend this antenna

So, I promised a long term follow up. Its not been quite a year, but, the windy season has come and gone. I worried about the elements remaining parallel to one another. The elements despite terrible wind did just fine. They haven't moved a bit. With this experience under my belt I'd feel comfortable putting it up on a 100ft tower with others. It performs just fine. No complaints at all. I'd certainly feel very comfortable recommending it. Great F/B in the real world boy that is very impressive, ya better occasionally listen long path you'll be surprised!

Wonderful, I love it Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had this antenna up at my current location for over 21 years, and I bought it used. In a pile up, I won't claim that they always come back to me first, but it doesn't take long, and that's usually barefoot.

I bought the antenna from a gentleman that was moving into a home (an elderly ham), along with a HDBX tower and Tailtwister rotor. When I took the beam down, there was an end of one of the elements that was off, and he gave it to me. I later found out why.
HINT: when assembling, twist on EACH element joint by hand and make sure it's TIGHT. I spend several days assembling the antenna and found that several of the joints would twist, that's why the one had fallen off in the original installation.

I also use the beam on 40 meters. I insulated the truss wires and feed the WHOLE beam using an omega match using a separate coaxial line. Makes it a 6 band antenna. Works better than the 40 meter dipole that I had. (Reference article in QST Oct 2014)

I'm in the Mississippi river valley and don't get a lot of winds, so I can't attest to the strength at wind speed, but the antenna did come out of eastern So. Dak. where it was windy. Installed used antenna 2001, still no problems as of 9/2022.

A definate thumbs up on the antenna.

How sweet it is.... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had this antenna for a few years now. It has weathered some big storms here in the Carolinas. For a 5 band 24' boom this antenna just keeps playing so well. Strong gain on all bands. Front to back is great. If something breaks you can easily get parts. So far so good .... nothing broken. Hard to beat the performance to price ratio of this antenna. Previous beam antennas were a Force 12 C-3 and HyGain 12/17.

Great Antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Shipped in 3 boxes. 2 8 hour days to put together. Take your time, lots of parts. Measure element spacing from one end only. Double check measurements.

Out standing performance. If I can hear them, I can work them!

Search the internet for the 40 meter mod!

After 11 years going strong. Had 2 elements loosen and fall out. Reinstalled, secured with rivet and screw clamp. Checked all other elements - OK.

Outstanding Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Mine has been up for 14 months now. It did take some time to assemble and once completed after checking out all the dimentions I ran the alalyzer and the swr was very poor. The technician at Hy-gain just said it will drop once it's up. He certainly was correct, the antenna has great swr on all 5 bands, I have never been happier with an antenna. I've got a 50 ft tower that is generally cranked down to 30 feet, the antenna performs superbly.

Great antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
If you are looking for an antenna that will cover 20-10meters including WARC without a tuner look no farther. As others have noted, this is a large antenna and requires some time putting together. Mine is at 72 feet and I have no problem working DX. I did rivet the element connections in addition to using the hose clamps just for insurance. For the money you cannot beat this antenna.

Antenna works as advertized Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
We recently switched out our 3 year old TH7DX for a TH11DX August 2015 .
I am very happy with the overall performance on all 5 bands. The TH11DX comes with the BN4000 balun that is optional on the TH7DX .
Like others have said it is a 3 day project to put together .Double check all measurements and if you have a question a simple email gets a fast response from Hygain customer service.

Great Beam Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Built Well.
Replace the 1/4-20 nuts with stainless steel Nylon lock nuts and this will stay up forever.
Take your time, measure twice, lots of parts to put together.
Up for 3 years now through New England Ice storms and winds.
No Issues.
Great Beam

very large and heavy Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
After about 9 months now, the bolt in the center of the mounting bracket snapped into, and the bracket snapped at the end of the support cable. The aluminum bolts, they supply just isn't big enough or strong enough to hold this heavy beam. I would recommend changing them to steel, and i drilled the center bracket bolt all the way through the mast and replaced with a 10 inch long, 1/2 inch bolt. I also replaced the bracket bolts with 3/8 steel bolts. The performance is great, and it handles legal limit with ease. Mine is resonant on all 5 bands. Receive is outstanding over a vertical.
