Excellent Value ~ Best Repeater For The Buck Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had this repeater on the air for all most two years now with no problems at all with excellent performance. It is in the worst RF environment in the world and works like a champ with a very hot receiver and super audio quality. It is on 145.410 with a PL Tone of 173.8. This is a commercial quality FM repeater in a compact desktop package at an affordable price. Other features included are PL/DPL encode and decode, 50W VHF 100 % duty cycle, CWID, courtesy tone, TOT, etc. It is easily programmed and interfaced with a wide variety of repeater controllers. One nice feature is that the unit can maintain its own 12v backup battery and can be programmed to change operating parmeters when main power fails. I like the repeater so much we bought a second one and put it in use as our county wide fire repeater on 155.325. Please check out the repeater web site at www.k4mfd.com for repeater pics and info.
