Does a great job of removing typical amplifier & computer fan noise. Also great on airplanes (where I use them the most). A bit of a tight fit so not really comfortable for long term use.

Best of Breed Noise-Canceling Headphones!			Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've tried several, including the Heil QuietPhones, Bose QuietComfort (2 and 3), and Sony MDR-NC11 (earbuds), and this is the best pair of noise-canceling headphones I've found! The earcups fit over the ear, rather than laying on them as with the Bose and Heil products. This helps to reduce ambient noise before the NC circuitry starts to work. The noise canceling feature works well at removing low-frequency components of the ambient noise (50 - 1000 Hz). As with all the NC headphones tried, the higher frequencies are not affected nearly as much. Sounds of fans and blowers in the shack are completely eliminated! While the suggested retail price is $180, I bought mine for $107 (at Etronics.com) by Googling for online retailers. Now, if Sony would just make their excellent, uber-comfortable MDR-V900 monitor headphones with noise-canceling circuitry, they'd have a completely unbeatable headphone product!
