Great Keyer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Hi All,
This is a great project. I built mine into a little R/S box and mounted the pot opposite the key jacks. Instructions are FB. The keyer worked the first time. Used it with my Cub on 40M this afternoon.
Thanks N0XAS.

Great Little Keyer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Goes together quickly. Is small enough to be put into most things. I use it with a Kenwood TS-790 on EME. I used an external switch and put it in an old tobacco tin. The speaker produces a pleasing sound. It is a good keyer for most situations.
Nicely thought out and programmed.

Excellent! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This kit is great! I selected it because I have less then perfect eyesight and wanted to work on improving my soldering skills. The parts were all high quality and were able to take the "abuse" from an inexperienced builder.

After putting the battery in I heard the "73". The instructions were well written and provided enough technical details for those who wanted them.

The only issue that I ran in to was that when holding down the left paddle i would get "dit dit" followed by a pause and the process would repeat. The same happened with the right paddle except that it would use "dah dah". After some troubleshooting I traced it to the adapter that I'm using to bring my key from a 1/4" plug to a 1/8" plug.

If you're looking for a kit that is easy for a beginner and has the features of a commercially available keyer, this is the one for you!

Small, cheap, easy Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Keyer took 10 minutes to assemble. With its on-board battery, the keyer is so small that I stuck it to my paddle base with foam tape, and I have a self-contained memory keyer that takes no more desk space than the paddle itself. Works great!

Can't beat it Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Low cost keyer with all the options. Goes together fast and works great by itself or built into a radio. The menu system is easy to use and the kit goes together quick. Top notch parts. If you are looking for something low cost this is it.

Great product - Great price Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After reading the PicoKeyer story in QST, I decided to give it a try for use with a couple of QRP rigs. I received the kit promptly from N0XAS and had it built and working within an hour from opening the package. The quality parts were bagged and 100% complete. The pc board was of high quality and the instructions were clear, concise and well written. The keyer gave the "73" on wake-up and each menu was able to be successfully accessed and programmed. If you're in the market for a new keyer or just need a second one for portable operation, etc. I highly recommend this one. I'm ordering a second one for the shack!

Great product good price Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is the first kit I put together in a long time. While awaiting my Rockmite and just for the fun I ordered this kit from Dale's site just after reading the article in my December 2003 QST. The assembly went very easily. Used a simple 15-Watt grounded tip pencil-tip iron from RadioShack and their better grade silver solder. Everything worked the first time, the keyer is of such simple design it leave no room for error in the design of the quality PCB provided and the documentation also was of exceptional quality. Expecting to pay at least $70.00 for a commercial keyer with the same feature set, I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new keyer/kit to consider ordering the PicoKeyer from N0XAS at http://www.hamgadgets.com
