Great Value! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Our County ARES Group entered Field Day for the first time ever in 2004 and used this software in a networked environment. Absolutely NO problems and everything worked as advertised. It was used by several hard core contesters and they were very complimentary. It was very intuitive for the first-timers and they were comfortable with it after just a few minutes of exposure. Highly recommended and we'll use it next year for sure!

easy to use, have recommended to friends Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
i have not contested much before, except for FD. i donwloaded N3FJP's software for the MAQP and participated in that. i enjoyed how easy it was to use the software that i bought a Heil headset w/boom mike, contest voice keyer, and N3FJP's software for FD AND MDC QSO PARTY. makes contesting less work and more fun!

CQWW Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I used this software for CQWW phone and it is awesome. It is very simplistic. It shows all the info that you need to see without cluttering up the screen with un-needed features. After the test it was so easy to write to the cabrillo file and email to CQ! I was the first one to send my score in to the club. Great job and I will be buying more programs. I got instant attention when I ordered. I got my registration info right away and I ordered the day of the contest. Thanks!

Excellent, Simple programs Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I thought I reviewed this once, but I cannot find it...so am providing again.

N3FJP provides excellent software for contesting. I purchased his entire set, which with that comes future updates and additional programs (such as his State QSO parties). I primarily use the ARRL and CQ DX Contest software. It is simple and straightforward. I am able to interface with my IC706MKIIG to get freq/band info automatically.

I admit I do not use the ACLog; I use Prolog2K (see my review there). For contests I use the N3FJP software, simply save it as ADIF, and export it. His programs are seemless. Providing the data to ARRL or CQ via email in Cabrillo format has also been simple.

I highly recommend getting the entire CD!

Great!!! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I've been using N3FJP's ACLog software and love it. This SS I used the SS program, and previously used the State QSO Party software for WV. These are wonderful programs.

Scott (N3FJP) has set up a Yahoo Group for discussion and feedback. He listens and provides support - almost instantaneously. He also uses the software, and it shows. These are mature programs and include rig control and CW transmit and voice WAV file functions that work. You can write Cabrillo contest submission files and export contest logs to ACLog. From there it's a direct upload to LoTW. No fuss, no muss.

You can try the programs. They're fully functional but the contest programs restrict the number of contacts. (ACLog is time restricted to 45 days.)Registration ranges from $6 (typical contest program) to $19 (ACLog), with lifetime upgrades. There are MANY programs, for virtually every purpose. Some are networkable (think Field Day). You DO NOT need ACLog to run the contest programs. They are all individually complete. There are also net manager, ham club database, amateur exam study and other programs.

You can register all of the programs for $39 as a download, or $49 with CD. Don't bother with the CD. Register them all for $39 and Scott will send you a list on necessary registration keys. Then download the current version of each program when you need it. Scott upgrades often as a result of user requests, so you'll want the current versions!

There is a great review of ACLog in the November '03 issue of QST and the contest programs are at least as good. ACLog is pictured on the ARRL QRP DXCC award certificate. Scott has impressed a lot of people.

If you want freeware, this isn't it. But these programs are worth much, much more that the registration costs.
