unable to use Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My problem is the same as K2WU. Every time I turn it on it blows a 20-amp panel breaker. I e-mailed Astron, NO ANSWER. I am trying to locate a time delay breaker for the panel. So far no luck. Worse comes to worse I will instal a thermister in the p/s input. George

No problems with mine Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I had this PS a number of years ago and only sold it when I was "downsized" and needed the money. This bugger was built like a tank and worked beautifully. The only complaint I had was when I had to move it. These things weight 48 lbs! I could run everything in the shack except the amp with it. I wish I would have had a Rig Runner to go along with it at the time, but they weren't on the market yet. What a combination that would make.

If anyone has one is excellent shape for sale, please let me know. I'll happily exchange my SS30M plus $$ for it.

Loose fuse holder Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I had similar problem N2WU had. I blew 3 fuses when switching on with no load before I realized the fuse tip was burned on one end. The spring tension in the fuse holder was loose allowing the current to arc across. I adjusted the spring tension and have had no problem since.

Otherwise a rock solid power supply. I draw 50 amps for TE amp with no voltage drop. I do run the fan constantly as I use it for long periods on WSJT JT65 and FSK.

Works, but with a little help Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Second time it was turned on, it blew its 12 amp fuse immediately (no load). Numerous other times, either blew the fuse or tripped my 20 amp breaker at the panel. There is no inrush current protection in this power supply. With protection (Ameritron ICP-120), at least it turns on consistently now. Be prepared to add such a circuit (i.e., spend more money!) if you get this power supply.
