Great Antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
It does the job with my FT100D or VX7, no problem.
One piece construction is good, and it does what it was designed to do.
Seems sensitive enough. It is a good buy and I am hard to please.

Excellent Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Extremely nice, robust and reliable antenna. It has been working extremely well for nearly seven years. Nice reception and transmission on three bands. Good price, about 120 $ in belgium.

Very happy with it. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I'm very happy with the GP-15, and it only took me 15 minutes to assemble and get it up and running. Performance on 2M, 440, and 6M (FM) is excellent. Tuning it on 6M can be a little tricky. It seems to have a narrow bandwidth, but I have no problems getting a 1.1 match across the entire band using my internal antenna tuner.

Great Antenna! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This antenna works great! Have no problems with acessing any repeaters or doing any simplex work. Have talked over 60 miles on simplex with this antenna up about 40 feet with 100watts. Have acessed repeaters triple the distance. We have ran 100 watts thru it on 2M SSB, 2M FM, and also 100 watts thru it on 440mhz and it takes it all day long. We substituted a much longer stinger to get a 1.2:1 SWR on 50.125 USB. We have already worked about a dozen stations on band openings on 6M. Not a bad way to get some QSL cards! Since it is a single section antenna, no maintence or such is nessecary and it is durable as a rock. Very much impressed with all aspects of this antenna. Obviously it doesnt sway in the wind at all, its like a pole or mast pipe, it just stays put! Buy the GP-9N if you only do 2M/70cm and care about getting the best performance, but this antenna does not lag much far behind!

Excellent! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Installed atop a 100' tower, survived 80mph winds just fine. I substituted a longer tuning stub for 6m, to put mine on 50.400. I've had excellent results using this antenna on 6m AM (only a few states left!). Excellent on 2m- no joints makes it durable and quiet. After five years, it looks a little weathered, but still performs like a champ. Anybody have another they'd like to sell?

Great Antenna for Me! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned my GP-15 for over a year now and am quite pleased with its performance. Living here in Houston, I am surrounded by a huge number of repeaters. I can easily reach the vast majority fo them rather easily even at the unimpressive height of 25 feet. Besides using the GP-15 with my 706 II-G for FM use, I've also used it as a receive antenna for my scanners and PCR 1000. Having lived in both Oregon and Texas with my hobby, I've had to get a little creative with my antennas. With the GP-15 I had to paint it twice. Camo green the first time and flat black the second. It has held up fantastically painted and not. It has withstood 75 mph winds as I have used it Mobile! It's extremely easy to set up and tear down and quite strong. I highly recommend it to any ham who wants a strong, affordable and easily disguised or hidden antenna.

Didn't work me me on Six Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I had a GP15 only briefly, and while it worked fine on 2 meters, mine didn't want to load up at all on 6 meters, showing a VSWR >3:1 on the FM portion of the band. I checked the coax, attaching a dummy load and sweeping it with an MFJ-269 and it was OK, and also tried the antenna in different locations, and found it only fair.

Other users I know love this antenna, but it didn't work for me. Your mileage may vary.

Good solid antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I owned the Comet GP-6 before and replaced it with the GP-15. I had some trouble with the GP-6 because it comes in two sections. The GP-15 is just one single section which IMO makes it more reliable and easier to install. The antenna is only about 7 feet tall and very light.

The instructions were very good and Comet even gives you precise measurments to get optimal SWR on the 6 meter couterpoise tuning rod - (and it actually works!)

SWR is well below 1:1.5 on all bands and the antenna performs very well.

Best of all - I have delt with Comet's customer service department on my GP-6 and they are very responisve. This is an exception these days.

If you are looking for a good, low cost, and flexible antenna - this is an excellent choice.

A great 2 meter antenna! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I really like this antenna! It's made well, light weight for easy handling, and it works great! I only use it for 2 meter FM on an ICOM IC-746 and this antenna always performs without any problems. I have used it once on 6 meters and it worked great but I have a different antenna now for 6 meter work. The SWR is extremely low through the entire 2 meter band, less than 1:5.

I recommend this antenna.

GP-15 Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I have the GP-15 installed on a 10' mast attached to the chimney. Up about 25 feet from the ground. It was very easy to install -- only one piece construction. And it seems to work well. I have not used it much on six meters, but it seems to be ok. I recomend it.
