Great Product!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Hi:

I purchased the kit version of the Rascal GLX and had a very enjoyable time building the interface. The instructions are well written and easy to follow. All of the parts needed are included along with a small well designed enclosure. Also included in the package is a CD full of programs and documentation.

I am currently using the interface for PSK31 with a Yaesu FT-817ND and it works great. The interface comes with a cable that plugs into the radio's data jack so that I can leave the microphone and headphones plugged in. Naturally with the data connection you can leave the volume turned down.

While there is a level adjustment on the interface, I didn't need to adjust it as the factory setting was correct for my needs. For me the interface was simply a matter of plugging it in and it worked. The hardest part in using the Rascal GLX was learning how to set up the radio (it's also new), and how to use the PSK31 software. After spending a bit of time with the software settings I was engaged with my first QSO with the radio set at 1 Watt.

I had a couple of technical questions so I wrote Buck very late Saturday night. To my surprise I had a response early Sunday morning. Buck provided me with answers and details on the circuit design. Top notch customer service in my book!!!

The interface works great, is easy to set up, is extremely easy to use, and is solidly built. The customer service is also great. Go for it you will be very happy.

EXCELLANT PRODUCT Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I ordered the GLX on wednesday and on Friday Fed-ex dropped it off here. Took the next 10 minutes to connect it to my rig, and off it went. This is one great product easy to work with and works great. I also had ordered one of Bucks 4:1 baluns for use with my OCF dipole and must the the quality of workmanship is excellant. I certainly will be ordering more stuff from Buck again.

Love It!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought the kit version, the GLK and had everything up and running in no time, and it was to assemble. I use it for everything here, PSK31, RTTY, SSTV, Packet, Hell, CW, Echolink, the list goes on and on. If its a digital mode you can work it with this interface. It works flawlessly with my FT-847. Just remember, the HF Data cable for anything SSB/CW/AM, and the packet cable for anything FM.

Have Fun!!

Simple, easy, works great Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Working with the Packet jacks on the rear of my FT-1000MP MKV. Had it hooked up in a minute, worked a qso a minute after that. Basic simple interface, but what more do you need? I've worked RTTY, PSK31, PSK63, HELL, SSTV but mostly PSK31.

Works Great! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have only tried it on PSK31 and RTTY, but it works as advertised. I am using it with an Icom IC-706MkIIG and I have had no problems.

It comes with a CDROM with lots of neat stuff and software.

Included are very clear instructions for setting it all up.

The price above includes one cable to interface with your radio.

You can get a kit version at http://www.packetradio.com/psk31.htm and the kit version only costs $29.95 and comes with one cable.
