exceptional Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I bought this Sentinal about 9 months ago, it is the model that shows SWR and power out. It has worked very well and is compared to the old NYE. It has the remote coupler and ALO for hooking up an amp. Power modes are switchable (average) (peak hold) and (peak) The only problem I have had was to put to much power through the coupler and fried it. CJ has since come out with a 3K version which I added and have had no problems since. CJ is a fine gentleman to deal with.

Sizzling Sausages! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This meter lights up as you key and stays lit for >40 sec. then the yellow sense led comes on and the meter reads your power automatically from 2-3000Watts. If you put the mode switch to peak hold, then put the hold time control to high noon, the meter will read and hold the peak power out for about 5 seconds. Max hold time is 20 seconds.
Your SWR is also read and will trigger a yellow led if above 2:1. Even in low power this works!
No other meter Ive seen is this sensitive and automatic to boot.
The auto lock out will unkey your amp if it is inline with this circuit, so you cannot key up the amp in high SWR(2:1 factory setting). This ALO circuit is adjustable for your own setting available on the rear of the cabinet. Only if the amp is wired in the meter's keyline does the lockout work. Those running less than 2W will not be able to trigger this meter. I successfully ran three watts with no trouble triggering it each and every time. The meter is aligned with a Bird Wattmeter before leaving the factory. See the website now avaiable at the above website for an even better description and photos.
One of the regular guys on 1.992 here in the Pacific NW is making these for his retirement project after a long and happy carreer in RF engineering, also a lifelong ham. He designed the meter to do what all the others claimed but fell short. No dissappointments.
I love it!
