Description:
The Nifty HF/VHF/UHF Bands Guide is a unique band guide which is intended to be used as a desk top reference while actually operating your rig. This handy operating tool, in a highly visual manner, combines FCC requirements by amateur class information with where popular modes of operation are found on each band.

With this guide you can easily locate where all the popular operating modes are found on the HF, VHF & UHF bands: CW, SSB, PSK31, RTTY, SSTV, beacons, calling frequencies, rare DX, QRP, repeater and satellite sub-bands, etc.

The new 60 meter bnad is also covered, including a summary of the operating restrictions and conventions.

In addition to the band plans, the guide includes additional useful reference information: QSL Bureaus, Typical RST reports chart, common Q-signals and VHF/UHF bands plan rules and conventions. A number of webpages are referenced where further information can be found on: beacons, IRLP, satellite operation, frequency coordination and others.

The guide is color printed, laminated for durability and spiral bound so it can easily be layed out flat or folded over. All-in-all this is a handy desk-top guide to have while operating base or portable.

Left out!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
OK, I love the Nifty Quick-Reference idea...wish I had thought of it myself -- and I own quite a few for specific rigs I own.....but
the HF Bands Operation Guide is wonderful, except my copyrighted 2008 version doesn't have the 60-mtr band!! Like 5330.5 and so on.......what's up with that?

Sorry, 60-meter band has been available for some time and should have been include.

Excellent Quick Reference Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This guide is laminated to prevent damage, printed in color, and the pages are thick and durable. It's got all the data you would look for in several different places. Example - what's the AM calling window on 40m? What's the data window on 20? I'm an advanced class, so what's the phone band on 80M?

A quick glance and you learn it's 7.290. Several good URLs, the NCDXF beacon freq.'s and all license classes and priviledges.

What I like is the "one guide has it all" type reference. Fits nicely under the K2 or the FT1000MP.

The price is a little high, but the quality is certainly there and it's completely up to date (60m channel freq.'s).

I've got several other Nifty Accy.'s and they are all well done and professional.

Easy Packed resource Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just received the Nifty Band Plan Guide and I am very impressed. For starters it has all the same data found on the ARRL website but in a consise easy to use form. The laminated pages are packed with useful information, the kind of stuff I usually spend 20 minutes looking for is right there. Calling frequencies, digital modes, where to find RTTY ect. Simplex frequencies, OSCAR frequencies, beacons and more. How all the HF spectrum is to be used (DX windows ect). Quite useful for quickly determining where to use whatever mode on all ham bands including 60M. It is clear to me that much time went into this tool to make it useful and complete. Useful in the shack or on the road. If you explore the bands like I do this is a powerful tool.
