Awesome bang for the buck! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had this litle gem up for over 3 years and it just keeps kicking butt! I feed it with 150ft run of LMR400 and I can work 100+miles on simplex with the antenna at 85ft. The wholesale cost on these antennas is 54.00+ship. A hell of a bargin considering how much they want for those diamond and comet jobs.

Generic GP-9 but it shows no diffrence. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have this antenna got it tuned and it works great with a combo of LMR-400 Coax a repater that is well over 150 miles away I can get into it just fine. This Repater is in Canada, and before on my older Groundplane antenna with the preamp on and using RG-213 coax (100 feet) which has a loss of 2.2 dB approx, with a 100 feet of LMR-400 which has a loss of 1.50 dB of loss the repeater now comes in at a S3 with the preamp on so I gained S3 which is equiv to 9dB gain of singal. it perfoms very very well. I give it a 5/5 it is wrth the investment

Great performance Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Mine is mounted on a pole about 25 ft up. In this configuration, the lowest part of the antenna is just above the high point of the house. I can easily hit repeaters all over town. I have talked simplex, with 5 watts, over distances of 50 miles or more. Good match to my 706mkIIG. Signal reports at appx 30 miles are 9 or better. Good antenna, tunable, but should not be required.
