A True Asset To Amateur Radio! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Hal has both repaired my equipment and counseled me numerous times via telephone, this guy is simply outstanding with his work (attention to detail and high quality) and his advice (patient and honest). If Art Collins were still alive even he would probably recommend Hal for radio repair. If there was a rating above "5", Hal would definitely earn it!

I happened upon Land Air while reading the reviews for repair shops, I had two radios, that were in need of repair, so I called Hal,
After taking up 10 minutes of his time on the phone, at which time he was very helpful, and patientwith all my questions, I decided to send the radios in, the radios arrived on Tuesday to him in Queens. One of the radios I sent was a Kenwood 2570 which I had already sent out for repair to another repair shop, which informed me that the processor was gone, and a replacement was no longer available,and if I liked he would discard it, so I wouldn't have to pay return shipping,so being a dummy I paid to have the radio shipped, back to me, but turns out it was a good move, because Hal repaired the radio and it going strong again, .So now thank's to Hal I have it again, and the problem wasn't the processor but a voltage regulator. And both radios were fixed and back in the box ready for return on thursday, you can't beat that !! A day and a half !!! Hal is probably the most patience man I have met, answers all your questions, with him no questions are dumb questions, he answers them all. From start to finish it was a very good experience.
If a man has that many good reviews on E-ham he must be doing something right. And the topper was when a week after I received the radios back he called to make
sure all was right and
if there were any questions,and to remind me I had a 30 day warranty on the repairs, Try Land Air I don't think you will be sorry.

Brought my Yaesu FT-897d to Hal because it stopped transmitting on 10 + 12 meters. He had the problem diagnosed with in a day and repaired the next day.
Great service I would definitly take my radios there to be repaired in t he future, and recommend him to my Ham friends.

Hal is great guy with a wealth of information. I had a problem with a transmitter and with a couple of pointers from Hal she was back on line all with one phone call !

I had sent Hal a radio I got from a ham feast it was a kenwood ts 430 it was doa when I got it not only that but I was missing a mic for it as well one of my friends told me about Land Air Communications LTD. I called him and told Hal of the radio and Hal told me to come by. I gave it to him on a monday and by wed of the next week I had my radio back I was on the air in mins and He gave me the mic for nothing just charg me for the repair of the radio and it was much less then I expected. thabks to my friend Ray for telling me about Land Air Communications LTD
and thank to you Hal for fixing my first HF Rig

True Gentelman Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I had my Icom 706 mark 2G worked on by Hal and I is working great now.

Hal called me and told me what need to be fix.
asked me befor he fixed and did a great job on it and the price was better the I com repair.


Thanks again Hal I love the Radio and it sounds great.

I recently visited Hal with my Ten Tec 962 power supply that got damaged from a voltage surge. As in the past on my other gear Hal quickly diagonsed the problem and had my supply back up and running within a day. I have known Hal for several years. Hal was highly recommended to me by too many Hams to count who have used his services and were throughly satisfied with his work, turnaround times and rates. This to me carries a lot of weight and says a lot about Landair communications. In addition Hal is a personable guy and has also helped me solve issue via phone and has given me sound advice. I would recommend Hal without question.
Just to comment on the fellow who claimed Hal's house AC voltage was too low to run his amp, I have personally seen Hal run A KWS-1, a Thunderbolt and a Desk Kilowatt both in his shack and on the bench so I find that hard to believe his house voltage is too low!

I've had a few radios repaired by Hal and have always been 100% satisifed with his work, integrity and charges. A few years back, Hal repaired my old TS940A. He spent many hours on it (tough, intermittent problem) but only billed me for a few hours. There is little he cannot fix.

Hal was good and fast. After having a number of technicians look at my 950SDX for the entire summer, Hal was able to diagnose the problem and fix it in a couple of days.

Also has an impressive display of vintage and almost vintage rigs

Heres a place to get a great repair done by a competent repairman. Nothing is beyond landsair's capability. Nothing comes cheap, if you want cheap, learn how to fix it yourself.

I have had many many electronic things fixed by this company. i recommend them.
