Very good product			Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had one of these in my shack for over 15 years and it is still as good as new. It has provided accurate readings and never had a problem

The NCG 3000 is a large, solid, analog VHF/UHF wattmeter made in Taiwan. It's actually sold under a number of different brand names. MFJ sells it as their model 873 Grandmaster wattmeter, for example. Don't let the mention of MFJ put you off. They didn't make this meter. The meter has three scales, 5W (ideal for HTs and SSB/CW portables), 20W, and 200W. The 5W scale has 100mW gradations below 1W, which is great for really low power portables and transverter IF rigs. Accuracy isn't pretty good, as in similar to a Daiwa or a Diamond meter. This isn't a Bird, and if you want something that is truly a precision instrument this probably isn't the meter for you. It claims to also be able to read PEP, but I am not sure how accurate that is. The NCG 3000 does not require power (important for portable ops) but 13.8V DC will light the meter. This is a good, all around, inexpensive, versatile meter to have in the shack.
