Review Summary For : MFJ-864 Cross Needle Meter. 1.8 - 60/144/440
Reviews: 12MSRP: 84.95
Description:
"This new MFJ Cross Needle SWR/Wattmeter covers HF thru VHF 1.8 - 60MHz, 144 MHz and 440 Mhz bands -- for an incredibly low $84.95! MFJ-864 Cross-Needle Meter reads forward and reflected power and SWR simultaneously at a single glance. It features separate HF and VHF/UHF directional couplers, each with its own SO-239 connectors. This lets you connect your HF and VHF/UHF transceivers at the same time. You can then monitor SWR and power of either transceiver at the flick of switch. Others have a single set of connectors -- you have to plug and unplug to use separate HF or VHF rigs.

Power ranges: 30/300 Watts forward and 6/60 watts reflected Each power range for each band is individually calibrated. Schottky diodes are used for best accuracy. Single knob operation makes it easy to use and the meter is lighted for easy reading. " (from MFJ)

The best ever. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I was looking for a swr meter that was capable of working hf and 2m/70cm band insted of having 2 or 3 separate swr meters. i just love the cross needle function, no need to calibrate before measuring.nice to see forward and reflected power both at once.it is accurate.
There is separate 1,8-60mhz and 2m/70cm connectors so you can have both your hf rig and vhf/uhf radio connected at once.(but only measure one band at a time 1,8-60mhz or 2m/70cm) no need to switch connectors all the time.
It has 0-30W and 0-300W range.
A must to have if you don“t want youre shack full of single band swr meters.Great value

Just bought one and seems to work well Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My first SWR Wattmeter, just bought it and hoped to see a review on it so maybe others that got one could reply. Seems to work well so I selected 5/5 just because it seems to work as stated and for the price it is a great deal. You don't need a 12V source unless you want the meter to light up. I will check back after I used it for a while. I hope if other ham own one they will add a comment here so we all can learn more about this new product.

Be well, KI4CFS Martin Brossman
