Not bad, but I was expecting more Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This radio is well built, a little complex to use (but has a built in help feature that isn't too bad), loaded with features such as:
built in CTCSS decoder
built in descrambler (non-USA versions only)
near field flash-tune or frequency counter
'bug detector'
field strength meter
bandscope
and so on.
The flash-tune feature is nice, not quite as good as an Optoelectronics scout, and you do need to understand the limitations of such a feature.
The CTCSS decoder works very well, and the audio descrambler works fine, too.
Forget the bug detectors, they are pretty hopeless - novelty value only.
1200 memories - you'll never fill them all!
0.1 to 2000 MHz RX, all mode SSB FM AM WFM

Problems:
very slow scanning - 4 channels a second at best if scanning a mixed lot of frequencies.
Sensitivity begins to fall away after 250 MHz, and by 400 MHz it resembles a 1980s scanner in sensitivity 0.6uV. By 900 MHz is quite deaf 1.5uV. By 1300 MHz is profoundly deaf. Below 250 MHz sensitivity is fine, with a few anomolies here and there.
Given the price paid, you get a lot of features as standard (ie built in), but also for the price, I'd hoped to get better sensitivity and faster scanning.
