Great product Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
With the EQplus and 8 band EQ there is enough audio shaping ability to satisfy most all of your SSB audio desires. Best of all you can use any microphone with any radio.

I bought my 8band EQ used and EQplus new. When ordering the EQplus I mentioned this to Julius. He was kind enough to send me instructions and parts to bring the 8band EQ up to date if needed, and it was. That's what I call good customer service. You will not be disipointed.

WOW!!!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
All I can say is WOW! This one device can do more for your transmit audio than anything else available. It took me all of 5 minutes to setup and although it takes more time to fine-tune and get the most out of it, it will give IMMEDIATE improvement to your transmit audio.

Oh, and don't think "this is only for Ham Radio Audiophiles"...it's not. You can make your audio sound like a broadcast station(if that's what you want), or you can fine-tune the transmit audio for DXing, rag-chewing or perhaps most importantly for some, you can reduce/eliminate "local QRM" with the Downward Expander provided.

This is a standalone device that provides a 2-band EQ, Compressor, Downward Expander and finally 2 adjustable levels of effects processing. If you want to really see this unit shine, add the W2IHY 8-Band EQ for additional flexibility and audio enhancement. It even has the capability of feeding 3 separate radios. Julius is a real gentleman and is readily avilable via email to answer any question you might have. His customer service is legendary.

Fantastic Audio Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I met Julius at the 2005 Orlando Hamcation & immediately purchased an EQ Plus from him. This was an addition to my EQ-8 equalizer. After about an hour of learning the setup & adjustments i went on the air with comment after comment of the best audio ever heard. Broadcast quality. I use my setup into the balanced modulator of an IC-756 Pro 1. Thank you, Julius for another W2IHY quality product.

THE BEST Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Save yourself some time and money and forget about the Behringer and Symetrix stuff. The EQPlus and the W2IHY 8 band equalizer are a whole lot easier to setup and sound just as good. With a 3 year warranty and top notch customer service from Julius, it's hard to beat this combination.

What can I say? Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I own this one along with the 8 band EQ/Noise gate which received 85 top ratings on this site. If you want great sounding audio, how can you go wrong with equipment that receives a top score in reviews and on the air? Great customer service from a great company!!

First Class Audio Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The combination of the EQplus, and the W2IHY 8 Band Audio Equalizer is just fantastic.I get great reports on my audio. To quote just one,"that is the best audio that I have heard from a Icom 756 ProII" The EQplus and the 8Band Audio Equalizer are products that in my opinion, should be a must have.Do yourself and your station justice, purchase these products. You will then experience the joy of audio compliments from other Amateur's. Well done Julius for the first class products and customer service. MM0PMW Matt.

Lots of "great audio" comments Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I am using the EQ Plus in conjunction with a W2IHY 8 band equalizer. The microphone is an AKG stage performer’s condenser mike, purchased on eBay. Musicians, it appears, are quite fickle about the microphones they use, and a fine selection of great non-amateur radio mikes are available at a small fraction of their original cost on eBay.

I will not repeat the technical details of others. However, I will say that the controls are well laid out, and construction is excellent. When running full legal power, RF feedback is not an issue.

I do not make a point of mentioning what is in the audio chain when on the air. Since putting the EQ Plus in the audio chain, I have been receiving many unsolicited complements on the fullness and intelligibility of the audio, particularly in weak signal conditions, such as QSOs with mobile stations. I often get comments that my signal “sounds” stronger than other stations with similar S-meter readings. I am never told that the audio sounds artificial or processed.

Julius, W2IHY, has outdone himself with the EQ Plus. As a purchaser of a first production run unit, Julius called me on the landline several times to get my feedback for continuing improvement of the EQPlus. Julius is a world class fellow with world class amateur radio products.

Get one. You will not regret it.
