Superior antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Got one more than a year ago. Also own 2 Larsen. Both are comparable antenna but I would place the Wilson a bit ahead. Looks as new as the first day. Great range. High power. Does everything very well. Very well built and weather resistant. Highly recommandable.

no tuning required Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After I read the great reviews for this antenna, I went out and bought one. Checked the swr and it was no greater than 1.2:1, no adjusting required.
I'm getting excellent signal and audio reports on simplex and thru a repeater at only 5w output.

Best $32.50 I ever spent, thanks R & L Electronics Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This antenna works great! I didn't even have to tune it, dead on 1:1 swr. The 10oz. magnet is super strong, hasn't fallen off yet, unlike some other antenna magnets I've known. 500 watt power rating, I can't wait to try and melt this coil. The only thing I wish is that Wilson would make a trunk lip mount for it, like the Wilson 1000.

Great Antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I used a borrowed Wilson 5/8 wave for a few months until I could get the money together to buy a shorter antenna. It was a great antenna. It was very broadband as evidenced when it was tested with a fellow ham's MFJ Analyzer. It was resonant to over from 140Mhz to 160Mhz with an acceptable SWR. I simplexed mobile to mobile with it 30 miles as the crow flies multiple times. Hitting repeaters was effortless from 30 or 40 miles out. I really hated to let it go but I park in parking garages and had to have a shorter antenna. If you come upon one for a fair price and dont mind the length, pick it up and try it out. You will not be dissapointed.

A++++ Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned this antenna for about 2 years. I love it...priced to compare with the Radio Shack mag-mount and handles much more power!! I know, I know..Most hams will never run that much power in a 2m mobile set up...but to me it's great to know
that if I want to put a 150 watt amplifier in my car for that great simplex range and be fine. It speaks to me of the quality of the antenna, I think the RS antenna is only capable of 50 watts. Just a fine fine antenna! Never had any problems what so ever. Bravo to Wilson!!

Quality At Low Cost Time Owned: unknown months.
Several fellow hams recommended the Antenna to me after my MFJ 2 MTR $25 antenna bit the dust after a month. I've owned this antenna for 1 1/2 yrs now and it is built Rugged and out performs the other backup MFJ. Recently, I found a break on the coax from opening and closing the door on it. The antenna is easy to disassemble and replace the Coax. The Inside of the Antenna is First Rate with Quality 10 guage winding coil plus the Coax is decent quality. The MFJ was junk in comparison. Wilson primarily makes Quality Citizen Band Antennas and charges the Hams the same prices. I feel I am getting a great deal and if Wilson made only Ham antennas then I would be charged another $ 30-40. The Price of this quality antenna is $ 38-$40
depending on where you buy it. You will not be sorry if you buy this antenna.
