SWR dip FAR below all band edges Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've been unable to adjust the antenna to move the SWR dip within the bands. It's considerably outside the low end of all bands, especially the WARC bands. There's a dip on all bands that varies in minimum SWR when I add radials or ground rods, but it's still outside the band. There are only a couple of ways to adjust the antenna, none of which help fix the problem. I've requested support from Mosley, but their suggestions have been laconic and unhelpful. They don't seem to have a handle on how their product works in the field. REALLY disappointed after spending over $700!

Works but you need radials Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Been a year since I erected this vertical. I am still pleased with its performance.

I have utilized this antenna on all bands between 40 and 10 meters with no issues.

I'm still sticking to what I mentioned, you will need radials that don't touch the ground.

Don't regret this purchase.

Seems to work as a vertical should. Overall I'm satisfied with the performance.

Documentation seems a bit stale and confusing, could stand updating. Assembly had some issues. Had to drill a hole for one of the tubs (QC process?).

Can't say enough about radials. It will work with 1 radial per band but you really need at least 4. All radials must not touch the ground.

This is not a wimpy antenna. Documentation calls for a 2 inch pipe to be used for a mount, be sure to use one that's at least 4 ft. in length.

I love this antenna ! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I got this antenna from a friend, it had been damaged in a thunderstorm. I called Mosley Electronics and received the necessary parts within a weeks time. Yes, at first it did not resonant within band. Getting the radial lengths wrong can detune the antenna. However, that was an error on my part of being to eager to get on the air.

Rechecking the antenna, I corrected my mistake, attached radial wires and the RV-7-WARC rocks. With just 20 radials attached, I work most stations on the second or third call with a 100 watts. Planning on adding another 40 radials to make this an efficient station setup.

I'm giving it a Good rating for now and will review the RV-7-WARC again when I have all 60 radials attached. With the way it radiate now, I'm expecting to give it a rating of 5 then.

Didn't work for me Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Sorry Mosley, but after several years of off-and-on attempts to get this antenna to work as advertised, I gave up.

I purchased the 80m 'trombone' accessory as well for this antenna, and that was the first piece jettisoned in my attempts to get this antenna to resonate. I have tried every configuration under the sun. I have reviewed, disassembled, and re-assembled the antenna many times, I tried with and without radials, and this antenna will not resonate in the ham bands.

Could it be the operator? Well I suppose that's possible, but I bought a competitor's multiband vertical recently, and it worked great on first try.

A wasted $600. Very disappointed.

Not as advertised ! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I purchased this antenna late last year. It has yet to perform as advertised. The Mosley Antenna company is not the same as it was when I was licensed in 1957. I purchased this unit because of my association with Mosley products for almost half a century. I am deeply disappointed in the product and the support. Despite several phone calls and emails with Gary at Mosley I still do not have an antenna this is usable on all the bands advertised. Had I the opportunity to do this over again I would have purchased a STEPPIR vertical. I would have been dollars ahead. The total cost for the vertical and the 80 meter loading section was $650+ Shipping. I was charged for the entire purchase ahead of time (2 months). I paid for second day air but got US Postal service instead. When querried Gary responded "I had to send someone to Saint Louis to mail it". So I guess I paid for his time because I never received a refund for the difference of US Mail and Second Day Air.

I have no axe to grind other than the utter disappointment in the product. It still will not tune 80 meters and the resonance on every band is outside the band. On 40mtrs it comes close to the CW portion of the band but is still showing it is too long.

I am waiting for my piggy bank to recover and it will be replaced by a SteppIR. A product that the management stands behind.

My advice stay clear of Mosley and look somewhere else.

I will be glad to respond to any questions honestly and forthright.
