Description:
Band Master is a program for Radio Amateurs that downloads DX spots and displays them in different ways, including a graphical band map. It can be used either as a stand alone application or as part of a logging or contesting software via the COM/OLE interface.
Rig control, country/province resolution, azimuth/distance calculator and online QRZ lookup are built-in, propagation prediction and geographical mapping are available through integration with HamCap and DX Atlas respectively.

95% there... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I'd give this software a 10+ except it relies on DX Summit (http://oh2aq.kolumbus.com/dxs/) to drive information. If for any reason, be it contest, other high activity or just internet latency the suite doesn't work. I really wish I could connect via telnet to a local cluster rather than relying on an http connection to a very popular and busy site. A very powerful tool if this one issue was addressed.

Fantastic Software Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Do you ever wonder who is on the band(s)?? So you go check out a DX website, and then tune around the bands looking for that elusive country. That sounds like how I use to waste my precious time down in the hamshack. Well with this software and a host of other software from
www.dxatlas.com that you can try for FREE you can transition from the "Flintstones" to the Jetsons".

Imagine looking at each band and seeing each callsign in front of you...now you want to go work the country...so just "left click" on the station's callsign and your rig automatically sets itself exactly on the frequency and mode. Want to know a little more about the DX, just right click on the callsign and "PRESTO", you are taken to a nice map showing you all about the station...and it does QRZ, or other lookups for you..

Check out the software, download it...I paid $60
US for the CD-ROM... Well worth such a great software combo...

It has made my operating..DX so much more satisfying and productive..
