Fantastic Portable Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I own both the Grundig Traveller II and the Grundig Traveller III. The Traveller III has a digital display which uses a set button to program a calendar, world time zones, and local and world time. The shortwave features 9 shortwave bands and an analog tuner. I believe it must have been manufactured in either the late 1980's or early 1990's, since it is a mix of analog and digital systems.
I bought this radio used on Ebay and I am really impressed with its shortwave capabilities and its sound. It even has a mono/stereo switch on the side for FM. I love the ease of use, although it took a couple of reading sessions with the instruction manual to learn how to program the digital features. After doing this once its easy. I love the dial light it has...the Traveller II has no dial light. You don't realize how handy a dial light is until you go without.
This feels like a very rugged and durable radio. Only complaint I have is that the digital display is kind of small, as are the letterings for the function buttons and reset holes. Other than that one thing....this is a remarkable radio in a very travel friendly package!!!

Tough Little Receiver Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Good radio for the money, with decent sensitivity and coverage, and very rugged. I've had mine since 1991, and it's been lugged just about everywhere, not to mention being banged about in a briefcase for a few years, and it still works like a champ.
